@novanine9 I have been drinking ionized water since 1996, and my entire family has as well. We've spent about a quarter a day [not per person --- but for all of us]. I think that works out to be a lot less than the H-stick would have been. Buying a water ionizer is far cheaper and far better. If you use my payplan, it's affordable for most people.
@novanine9 You can see all about the pay plan on my website, listed above...look at the top of the page for the "Pay-Plans" page. All payplans can be customized, so feel free to call if you'd like more info. 314-452-9560 or 888-692-5525.
@EagleSeeks "Is It Bad To Drink Too Much Alkaline Water?" Its only bad for your wallet & self esteem - alkaline water is a pseudoscientific scam promoted by conartists
The directions clearly state that if the hydrogen stick is not contained w tapwater in an AIRTIGHT Container (glass bottle or stainless preferred) you CANNOT possibly get correct effect because OXYGEN has invalidated the effect of using hydrogen stick in the 1st place!! Can't believe you made this video showing a cheap recycled cup wo even putting the top on and thought u were discrediting the product - didn't u read directions????
Thanks for doing these tests! However, the alkalinity of your water is extremely high. The conventional wisdom on magnesium was that it needed either a high temperature or an acidic environment in order to work. Hayashi showed that magnesium in water at a pH of 7 also works.
My stick generates hydrogen bubbles nearly immediately--can you please re-run the tests using bottled water that presumably has a pH of around 7?
I have no ax to grind--I just want to see a fair test. Thanks again
@tedichino If you have to go searching around for the perfect water to use this stick with ...it's just more reasons why the stick isn't a savings. Also -- it's un-green to have to go out to buy bottled water too. The company selling it didn't specify water source limitations. I do plan to re-do the test next week sometime with bottled waters. I honestly have NO ax I am grinding. I just hate to see people get fooled by this company. It's a tenth as good or less & costs more in the long run.
was thinking of your test, and now am convinced your test is flawed from the beginning. first, you are dealing with hydrogen gas..and unless you have a sealed bottle, you are wasting your time..second, your melody has 5 plates, so, to be fair,
you should test with 5 sticks in a bottle..then you might be surprised...
you can test again the melody with 5 plates and test against it with 1plate equivalent ..thats why you're paying thousands of dollars for the melody, and
@watercleanAG Actually I chose the Melody to test because of its lower cost. It only costs $400 more today to buy the Melody than what I spent for my Ange water ionizer 18 years ago [which provided ionized water to my family of 7 for 15 years and now my mother-in-law uses it]. So, when you do the math, let's say even based on 10 years [they have lifetime warranties though] that would still be cheaper than buying only one H-stick every 6 months.
well cathleen, just checked that Dr Hayashi's site, and he says his sticks works in 10minutes..and its only magnesium, so ok, think your test unmasked his
@watercleanAG If you look close it is not Dr. Hayashi's site you're going to. It's a clever US MLMer trying to make excessive amounts of money on a product that I am certain he profits more from each stick sold than the MLMers who are selling it do. If the sticks cost $10 or even $20 each, which in my opinion is still more than they're worth. then they could actually help a person who couldn't otherwise afford a water ionizer. Even though it's not much help -- it's still a little help.
obviously, your stick is working as the ORP is reducing..but if you put your stick into a pet bottle and and do your test with the sealed top, and then pour the water
into a glass jar and measure it, you will se after 90minutes, it should read
-120 or thereabouts..and as you say after several days, it should be -225-280..
your testing protocol is flawed so you will not get the right results..
Use a brand new glass....not plastic....chemicals in the plastic are going to throw your results....try that test next....NOT a glass that has been threw the dishwasher!
Maybe this is a stupid question, but did you calibrate your meter before running your tests? Also it would be a good idea to keep your hands out of the water as to not contaminate your sample.I think you need to read a book or two on basic laboratory protocols. Also it's not really a hydrogen stick but a magnesium stick ,if I am not mistaken.
10.25 pH for TAP water is EXTREMELY high. Never ever heard of TAP water being even remotely this high. I'd like to see your tests done with water of 7.0 pH.
My St. Louis Water is ususlly right around 10.1pH according to my yearly water report. Check out this for yourself at Missouri American Water (zipcode: 63026).
also, when you put the stick, i guess it's better not to have any air in it. otherwise, hydrogen will just get into the air inside of the bottle, and won't melt into the water much, i guess.
I got the stick and it is GARBAGE i REPEAT GARBAGE I tested it and they say it works great also they say it increases the ph by 2 points my stick only raised it .2 .i went and bought a life ionizer and it works Great .This stick reminds me of those bs foot pads
water4health...please go to my blog at alkalinewaterplus (.info) to see all the tests ...I report it as I see ...to help and educate consumers...so people who want to be informed consumers can benefit from. Testing the product is far from being careless. I really wanted this product to work, however the results were just too disappointing to disregard. Now ionizers on the other hand are a great investment and don't wear out in 6 months. Their cost ranges from about $875.00 to $4,000 and they typically last for 20 or so years.
But there are lots of arguments put forth as to why ionizers are not doing what they claim to do. Have you answered these claims that were put forth by the hydrogen stick people? I would like to know as much as possible before deciding which way to go with this.
People are confused over the best water to drink for their health. Why would anyone want to confuse people even more, by publishing misleading ads? I have been studying the latest advances in water for 4 years & know the right questions to ask.
The Stick you mention is by Dr. Hayashi, a Cardiovascular Surgeon & leading authority in water research & clinical observations for health.
What credentials allow you to carelessly discard his 20 years of experience, just to increase your sales.
Well, you may have something there, but the material I read said that you should have a good enough seal that you could turn it upside down and not have it leak, in other words, like a screw on lid.
And this still doesn't answer the question of how much hydrogen is in the water as opposed to ORP or PH. Hydrogen is the element that is supposed to make everything else happen.
I looked up the formula to determine the rH [relative Hydrogen] of water. This formula uses pH and ORP to find rH score. The formula is: rH = ((ORP + 200) / 30) + (2 x pH). Note: On a scale from 0 to 42 (below 28 is reducing and above 28 oxidizing). Based on this formula, the water I tested with the H-Stick tested (30.66 rH)...slightly better than 32.41 rH for tap water. While my cheapest water ionizer (The Microlite) tested at 19.09 rH. Note all tests were done one hour after pouring the water
I notice you haven't followed the instructions that go with the stick that will radically alter your results. One, you are supposed to keep the cap on and two, you are supposed to shake it. Without this you are allowing all the hydrogen to escape into the air.
Also, the hydrogen according to Dr. Hayashi, is the most important factor in this effect.
I did have a lid on the cup for the entire time except during the testing of the water. The shaking is only necessary when you're in a hurry and only have the stick emerced for 1-2 minutes (according to the instructions). But believe me, I did shake it too (it's not shown on the video, but I did.)
Most public water supplies have pharmaceuticals that cannot be removed by any current filter. What happens to those pharmaceuticals when you apply eclectic current to the water? Does it change the structure to something else? Of course it does.
PS: Yes, I saw your lid, but hydrogen is a "gas" that lid is only going to stop flies not a gas.
It is not an Alkaline Stick or ORP Stick, its a hydrogen stick-everything else is a nice freebie. I turned my Ionizer offscared me as I learned more
1. lol, pH10 tap water...
2. lol, bubbles = hydrogen
1. ur not drinking drain cleaner, are you?
2. bubbles = O2 and some N2 out of the air that now escape
try just leaving tap water standing around for some time -> same bubbles
most likely u have a aerator --> the water is saturated with gases right out of the tap
there is no "hydrogenstick" nor would hydrogen do anything in your body
and neither do oxygen saturated drinks
this is like dowsing :)

I saw your retest with the closed container. YOU SAID THAT IT TAKES A WHOLE DAY TO WORK WITH THE STICK.
HOW ABOUT BUYING 2 STICKS AND JUST DRINKING THE WATER FROM THE DAY BEFORE WHILE LETTING THE STICKS SIT IN A NEW SUPPLY OF WATER FOR THE NEXT DAY.
Would it not still be way cheaper?

For Alkaline & Ion water, this machine is to much expensive.
1.- You need a one "Scalar Energy Pendant " USD 15.00 from Quantum Science or this Stick.-
2.- a glass of water USD 0.25
3.- one pencil's graphite USD 0.30 ( Fast production secret ).-
4.- and Radio Shack digital multimeter USD 30.00 ( set mV option ) for ORP measure. This measure is for a Qty you need of Ions.
5.- reach with this method = -240 ( anions ) ORP
