Ibn Sina was a born inside the Samanid empire , the Samanids were a Persian dynasty who ruled over modern-day Tajikistan,Afghanistan and Iran. The Hottaki and Durrani dynasties are the creators of modern-day Afghanistan , before their rule there was no political entity known as "Afghansitan" .

He was born in ancient Balkh, modern Mazare Sharif City in North Afghanistan.

@dragonballzvegeta199 Afghans who speak Persian and all Tajiks are Persan in the sense that they speak Persian. In terms of ethnicity, Afghans are closer to the Persians who live in Iran. Iran and Afghanistan has been the same country for the most of their history so separating Tajik Afghans and Persian Iranians is pretty difficult. They share a lot of history, culture, poetry and etc. Great examples are Mulana, Ferdosi, Ibn Sina, Biruni and etc.

who descend from ibn sina are the modern tayiks of "afghanistan" and south "uzbekistan", not the persian of iran.

@tarafGallo yes, our language is persian. our culture too. but the persian culture doesnt came from persia. who saved and created the modern persian culture were the tayiks empires (ghorids, saffarids, khwarezmidz, and of course, samanids).

we have a lot to do with the persians. i repeat, that some tayiks descend from persian people. we are all iranic people, and our fathers came from BMAC and YAZ. persian, tayiks, nuristania, lurs, kurdish, baluch,.. we are all brother. ;)

The great Khorasan that you talk about has been always a part of Iran, not only the modern Iran, but the entire Iranzamin.

Khorasan has always been a part of Iranzamin, as it is called by Ferdosi, or as it has been called through the history by all Persian including Tajiks.
