  • as the man says they are all good, i love, "RAW POWER, " but iggy might touch you somewhere else!!!

  • i aways feel like i'm doing something Dangerous when I'm listening to this song.

  • this sounds like it came out in the 90's

  • @Remington61189 The Stooges were way ahead of their time indeed. One of the best bands of their time, imo

  • sounds like this is the Bowie mix of this track...Igg's vocals are toned way down..

  • guys tell me which is the best Stooges album?

  • @carrotsandnutella All of them, but if you want me to be specific, Fun House.

  • @carrotsandnutella I Love the Stooges!! I would have to say the best, L P would have to be their self-titled " The Stooges"!!

  • Funhouse, no doubt

  • Bowie's safefull mix

  • I like the GRAW 2 Version

  • i found this song from shooting heroin into a vein in my penis.

  • One of my all time favorites songs

  • Say it again. I will not touch myself sir! Say it again! I will not touch myself SIR! " SAY IT AGAAAIN!"

  • It's always funny to read UK- based commentary on this song.

  • My penis brought me here. It has a mind of its own and quite astounding typing skills ;)

  • @Hermunkle I lol'd.

  • great, the original fade ending is much better than the remix

  • LOVE IT..TIMELESS

  • "The Runaways" English Disco scene brought me here.

  • How amazing are the lyrics kiss me like the ocean breeze amazing amazing so freakin amazing

  • This blows the piss out of the new shit-hop bands. Rock and punk are my Gods.

  • eargasm

  • It needs to be rough, Gimme Danger with orchestra would sound like shit.

  • @jamesmilton243

I was not talking about the original version of the song, I like it the way it is. I was talking about a new version of this with an orchestra, that will just add another version of this song around, and if people don't like the new version guess what ,this is still around to listen to. I have always wanted to hear Iggy re-record this as his voice has gotten a lot deeper since 1973.

  • @efan2011 Yeah, well, I'm of the opinion that some songs should remain the same, always, if you know what I mean ;)

  • @jamesmilton243

Nothing wrong with that, some songs should not be messed with.

  • @jamesmilton243 I think it'd sound GREAT both ways..it needs to be rough? Why can't you try it soft? I bet it'd be beautiful as fuck man.

  • Is this the original version?, or the Iggy's remix??

  • Man, since I watched The Runaways I got into this music, now I know that I was born in the wrong decade

  • Comment removed

  • I found this song from The Runaways and now I really like this song!

  • @monkeypeople101 I didn't think it was think song in the runaways it was "I wanna be your Dog"

  • @master18666 this song was featured during the club scene when Fowley meets Cherie. The song you mentioned was during the kiss scene

  • @monkeypeople101 Oh yeah i remember now Thanks. That film is awesome! It's a really motivational film makes me wanna be a rockstar!

  • I wish Iggy would re-record this with an orchestra, it would be epic beyond words

  • @efan2011 I was thinking the same thing, violins would fit great as it reaches the crescendo near the end

  • @Way2Spirited

    Great minds think alike

  • @efan2011 that... would be ... awesome!!!

  • @96johnnyb

I know right? If there is ever a song that would be fit for something like an orchestra this is it. It's Iggy's most emotional song imo

  • @efan2011 maybe Iggy will record a version of this song with an orchestra one day, I doubt it, but I hope he will.

  • This song makes me want to get drunk, get high, have passionate sex and desperately fall in love.

  • I have been fanatical for all genres of music except Rap and Classical for over 30 years and just recently i got into The Stooges, and damn I wonder why all these years eventhough i have heard of them, i never listened to them. Wow, keep posting the Stooges all day, everyday!! God Bless Iggy and the Stooges. They were literally light years ahead of the game!

  • 2 people couldn't handle the raw power.

  • This is Bowie mix, right? I prefer the heavier one

  • i m looking for more bands that sound like this and The Cramps. any suggestions?

  • @thedude909 iggy is really unique so that hard to say, but there are other good bands that sound kind of similar but not much, The New York Dolls, The Doors, the velvet underground. give those a try.

  • @MrCobains1fan already did. haha. not the biggest fan of The Doors or The New York Dolls, but i LOVE The Velvet Underground

  • @thedude9099 The Scientists

  • Iggy is one of the most influencial man on rock music

  • Iggy is to rock as Meth is to a cup of coffee.

  • this is such a weak version of this track =/

  • Anyone find it weird that this song goes well with most of the vietnam levels in Call of Duty Black Ops?

  • @younggunsfan What also is good to play it to The Doors - 5 to 1.....

  • Velvet Goldmine

  • stooges broke the fukkin mold! jim morrison was a poet but not a pioneer. he was the norm for the time. hippy dippy. can't say the same bout iggy though. he was and still stays true to himself. long live the stooge

  • @girlonfire0708 Have no idea how you can say Morrison wasn't a pioneer. Morrison and Iggy are both amazing in their own way.

  • @girlonfire0708 No Jim Morrison, no Iggy Pop. Nuff said.

  • @girlonfire0708 The norm for the time? jim morrison would come up with lyrics and melodies to most of their songs before the rest of the band even wrote the music you stupid fuck...name anyone else who dide that....the stooges are good but the morrison and the doors fuckin blow them away

  • @girlonfire0708 jim morrison was actually very innovative. his eccentric lyrics, his stage presence, his incorporation of spoken-word poetry in the middle of songs, nobody was anything like him and he was unlike anybody else. and also he was not, in any way, just another flower child

  • beautiful

  • I don't really get the hate on the Bowie Mix. If it wasn't for the Bowie Mix, we wouldn't be listening to this album today. It sounds rough and in your face. I think that's more or less the point.

  • THIS VERSION FUCKING SUCKS GET RID OF IT

  • love the bowie mix

  • sounds a lot like Jim Morrison in this one.

  • Wow, I think I just learned something, L.A.

  • thank god he remixed it.

  • Eargasm

  • Bowie mix rocks so hard

  • @borntohula94 Yeah it does! and the vocal take on the '97 Iggy Mix is different - I prefer this vocal. and this mix. Definitely...

  • Just order the album online. I already can tell it's gonna be good.

  • who cares what genre this is. when i listen to it, it blows my mind. i find it by using the search word stooges. protpunk as a word is irelevant in the whole art process of this song or our experience of it.

  • @tumultus101 true, i just put it up for shits and giggles.

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce

i was responding to the people bashing you actually :) being anal about a word.

  • @tumultus101 Iggy is to rock as Meth is to a cup of coffee.

  • @tumultus101 well actually it is proto punk, so maybe you are retarded? the art process has nothing to do with the genre of the music... and actually it is very relevant, watching iggy's interviews, you will see him talk about his genre, something no one has heard before. "What may sound to you like a big heap of noise, is in fact the music of a genius, myself" he was living in proto punk, idiot!

  • @berniezarsov "well actually it is proto punk" does it even have to be just that. its rock n roll get over youself.

  • @tumultus101 Well said; this preoccupation with labels is a bore.

  • J'adore !

  • Why can't we all just smoke a bowl:-)

  • @ray69play I second that statement brother.

  • @ray69play I am :)

  • My favorite. <3

  • It's amazing how people still believe they are the music genres police..

  • @VacLateralus I am not policing anything to do with genre because, FUCK, it's not about GENRE (music defined by sound), it's about it's place in HISTORY. i give up. you really are a twirp. you think 'subestimate' is a word. No, music style is not subjective. That's why we call classical music 'classic' and heavy metal 'heavy metal.' See? An OBJECTIVE, factual difference. Herp derp.

  • @err0r Hahaha, just crap fron yr head.... wirp? Look at you first... I won't even answer to a real retard like you are... YOU ARE THE REAL WIRP.

  • @err0r I'm not even saying music style is subjective, it's about point of view of ppl about music..... as Slaytanic said, you can't do anything about it. twirp!.

  • first time i listen too, first impression = THE DOORS!

  • personally, I can't enjoy punk (sex pistols are pretty good though). But I love the stooges and post punk stuff like Killing Joke, Birthday party et c.

  • A favorite of mine

  • One of the most beautiful sounding things ever. You're right about the Jim Morrison thing, though. Takes shit to the next level.

  • Is it wrong that I like prog and punk?

  • @obscurebandfan Nah, people have different tastes. Punk is awesome, Psychedelic Rock is awesome, Alternative is awesome, some Indie works for me, I like experimental, metal is awesome. It really matters about prog. I like Tool but really thats the only progressive band I like. If some one tells you it is wrong to like both of those genres just ignore them. My dad told me not to get into punk, well I did.

  • and thanks for uploading btw.

  • who the pluck cares what genre he called it? it IS proto-punk, it came before and influenced late-70s punk. enjoy the song.

  • proto punk is not a genre

  • @err0r you're right, but i'm too lazy to change it and there's nothing you can do about it.

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce that's pretty proto punk!

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce

bahaha. I used "proto punk" in conversation today, its a genre now.

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce haha way to go buddy, all these little bitch-ass fuckers complaining. Well that motherfucker got told!!!

  • @MrGeltabs haha damn right you are!

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce Fuck whatever Genre it is! Thanks for putting it up! saves me the trouble of digging through my Vinyl when I only have time to hear a couple songs! This is definitely in my top 10 favorite albums of all time!

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce I wasn't complaining, merely pointing out a mistake.

  • @err0r I wasn't saying you were complaining, merely pointing out that i was too lazy to change it now that people keep 'pointing out mistakes' and that there is nothing you or they can do about it.

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce lol good answer

  • @SlaytanicMegaforce HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAXDDDD

    SO MUCH TRROLL!!XDDD

  • @err0r who cares if it's or not a genre?

  • @VacLateralus you should due to the inherent stupidity in arguing that it is. bands didn't sit around their rehearsal space saying, 'well, in 10 years from now there's gonna be music called "punk rock," and we'll make the kind of music that precedes it called proto-punk.' the term 'proto-punk' is used by critics, writers and fans to account for bands whose music inspired and influenced bands of the punk generation, whether that be through sound, style, lyrical content etc etc.

  • @err0r It's just music, enjoy it, u r just suiffering for that label.... jeez.

  • @VacLateralus No, I'm not suffering for anything, I'm simply correcting mistakes. If anyone's suffering, it's you, because you're so ignorant and won't concede that you're wrong. And no, it's not "just music,' it's the best fucking rock'n'roll in the world.

  • @err0r wrong! at first, don't even try to call me ignorant... when you are a monkey that needs to play "music labeling" game. and yes, you noticed it's rock and roll, good for you. the ignorant label just fits in you.

  • @err0r PD: u need to know me first to say such compromising word.... i only agree with yoiu in the best rock and roll part.... the rest is just crap.

  • @VacLateralus ATTEMPT 2-- The term 'proto-punk' is not about genre. In terms of post-structuralist, literary criticism, the term is used to describe music that has had an effect on bands that would eventuate from said music's influence. For example, The Swans don't make 'proto-grind,' despite being influential on grindcore due to their early records, however a grind fan might use the term 'proto-grind' to describe them and how they influenced contemporary bands. Making sense now?

  • @err0r Wow, you really don't understand man.... It's already known what you try to say to me...Dont subestimate ppl like that.. And sure, music needs to be identified in some way, but giving names to music genre... It's already subjective, I don't care if someone calls it proto-punk or garage rock, I care about music.... Music is the thing that matters, just try to enjoy it... Now do you get it?

  • @err0r PWNED

  • @ObviouslyPliskin Just because 46 people don't agree with me doesn't mean they are right.

  • Beautiful song... What else could we say ?

  • Theres a reason Kurt Cobain listed this as his favourite album of all time.

  • I remember this song from the movie "Up The Academy"

  • Simply beautiful.

  • It goes like this... "there's nothing left to life but a pair glassy eyes raze my feelings one more time (yeah!) find a little strip and find a little stranger yeah you're gonna feel my hand said: I got a little angel, want a little danger honey you're gonna feel my hand swear you're gonna feel my hand swear you're gonna feel my hand "
  • He out-Jim-Morrisons Jim Morrison on this track.

  • @enakcma he never out did jim morrison.. No one out dose ol jim.. In fact jim morrison influenced him

  • @enakcma He out MORRISON-MORRISONS as hes still alive even though he did some mad & dangerous shit! One of my fave singer/groups ever! :)

  • I feel me like a funking stranger iiihh

  • I lisen this song in a musical video in G.R.A.W 2 of 360 XBOX

  • Aaaza, hmmwf? Ye! Lelele mmmm

  • gotta like the way he slurs those words out during the verses.
