@tibotibo1976 Highly agreed ..Look at the battery life of this thing-on standby I had it on for 2 day's without power cable -if the thing goes to sleep it consumes almost nothing..played online music for 6 hours nonstop over the wifi ..and the battery was still half full -I think Apple cannot beat this tablet!I also have the Archos 9 running Windows xp Sp3 very beautiful ..the 2 processors in this thing rocK !!!

what is the exact resolution on the TV display, if you connect your Tablet to the LCD TV via HDMI ?

Is it also 1024x600 or is it 1280x720 ?

Is the display really so angle depended as some have written ?

I thought about gettin' the ipad for 400.00 but I think this would be a better option, due to the fact that the ipad doesn't have a camera, nor does it have a USB or flash.

The reason its so sluggish is that there is a 10 inch screen with a live wallpaper running on it. Thats alot of pixels for a OMAP3 to push. Just saying, if there wasnt a lWP running it would have probably been smoother. They are upgrading it to Android 2.2 which should also give it a pretty big speed boost. It looks like a really nice tablet though.

I hate iOS but I have to admit that Android makes a pretty bad tablet operating system without proper modifications. The implementation that Archos has done is piss poor. Just look at the lag! That is NOT acceptable in this day and age.

@Chinchirra actually.. last year Archos already had released a few tablets.. the internet tablet 5, home tablet 7 and 8 are all last years line-up.. so Apple isn't even as original as they and their fans claim to be.. Archos has always been a few step ahead of them.. the only problem is their name isn't as recognizable as Apple's =)

@MrAppleiPad actually you should check your facts.ipad is a Archos "wannabe" seeing as its first true net tablet was released in late 08 almost 2 yrs before the ipad, be it... it sucked horribly.. Archos is now in their 9th generation of tablets and has made some very good progress since upgrading to the android over linux..I am not an ihater considering i have an iphone,ipod,imacand other assorted apple goods
