Natural Flavor is a flavoring derived from a host of chemicals. I used to work in the laboratory of a natural flavor company. Stay away from this stuff!!! Read the labels and avoid it!!
Natural Flavors is put in food not for the nutritional value but for the taste of the food...It is called MSG. Basically it is what makes food so addictive.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who reads what's on the packet Doc. :) I have no idea what the hell they mean by "natural". I think you might be right though. lol
Most likely it is processed corn made to taste however they want it to taste. (They tease a lot out of corn now days)
FYI here is a small list of things that mean you are (most likely) eating heavily processed corn: Citric Acid, Lactic Acid, Glucose, Fructose, maltodextrin, ethanol, sorbitol, mannitol, xanthan gum, any modified starch, any unmodified starch, most dextrins, most cyclodextrins, Mono Sodium Glutimate (MSG).
this is something I don't like dwelling on..maybe that's why I became a vegan over 10 years ago..I try to only eat stuff that has known ingredients aside from my absolute love of coca cola and seroogy (a reallllllllly good fudge)products.
Hehe you drank all the diet coke! Natural flavours sounds kind of gross, like fake flavours that taste natural. Or rat poo! Haha! Also, I didn't know Americans used the word 'cupboard'. It was funny hearing you say cupboard! Hm maybe I'm in a weird mooood...
Nah, we use wardrobe too. For a free-standing piece of furniture in which hanging and folded clothes are stored. Unlike "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", the title of "the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" wasn't changed for the US.
Natural flavors aka MSG is in some organic foods, also.
Avoid this chemical poison like the plague.
Read the labels of all foods that you buy.

Natural flavour's would most commonly refer to MSG.
Here's how.
----------------------------------------
Hydrolyzed vegetable protein (protein hydrolysate) is classified by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) as a natural flavoring.
"hydrolyzed vegetable protein" is permitted to be listed on the label without a mention that it may contain up to 20 per cent MSG.

Oddly enough the bags of potato chips I like don't have natural flavors.
They have potatoes, sunflower oil / corn oil, and Salt.
I need to go get some more grape juice too, the juice at the food court has 'natural flavors' in it. ugh.

My potato chips have "natural and artifical flavors"
I guess a worker got caught in the potato chip machine and he was wearing nylon-fiber clothing? :D

I have wondered, it's in everything.
Why can't they just friggin say what they put in it??

I'd feel better if Natural Flavors meant rat droppings

Natural Flavor is another word for hydrolyzed vegetable protein: a neurotoxin not unlike MSG

I doubt that natural flavors are rat dung, etc.

You can actually look up exactly what it means on the web. I've looked it up and it's not near as fun as speculating what it is.
Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, weird mood every time the moon lights up the night sky.
DoctorOhh 5 years ago
what else do u use other than cupboard??
ambularofamber 5 years ago
I thought cupboard was a British word, and Americans only used the word closet.
MeganClare 5 years ago
We use Pantry or cupboard for areas where food stores are kept. We use closet fot areas where clothes, coats etc.. are kept.
