  • @ groeslon Yeah, that's true, not to mention the session work he did with Patsy Cline, Todd Rundgren N many other artists...

  • yea ..saw him in London too..maybe 2009 and Aberdeen before that..Great legacy though..:))

  • I also saw him once here in the Netherlands.

His steel sounds always so great and no one else can get that sound like he did.

    RIP Ben

    .

  • That dobro on "For the turnstiles", the man was awesome. So glad I got to see him once

  • unmistakably Ben

  • Just found out yesterday Ben Keith's dead.. makes me sad. He's a legend.

  • Ben will be missed hugely. Love this final performance. Pushing barriers 'till the end.

  • Its a pleasure sat here in my Welsh flavoured Ontario paradise, in the company of legends in my eardrums (and my heart too).

  • Neil once said "I love every fucking noise he makes". He will be missed.

  • Ben , the giant undertow in so many of Neil Youngs great albums .RIP Ben you will never be forgotten

    regards

  • He was soooooo good at steel guitar :)

  • thank you, ben keith, for all... rip & be blessed....

  • So very sad that Ben Keith has passed. I'm only 7 years younger and I don't feel old. Obviously Neil doesn't feel old either. His music and spirit are soooo young, no pun intended. Life is too short. My first thougths were...was he on an aspirin regiment. He had a blood clot in the lung which may have started in the legs. Did he smoke? That's a risk factor for that kind of thing. Nobody can replace Ben. Our musical giants are slippijng away from us. R.I.P. Ben. You will be missed by all.

  • Ben Keith's passing is sad indeed. His contribution to Neil Young recordings is incalculable. Thanks for everything.

  • RIP indeed. What a loss.

  • all proceeds of the new book "Hillsborough, CA" go directly to Bridge School.
