John Vernon was also a "CHiPs" guest star as well...playing a rare sympathetic character as the leader of a police canine unit. One of the dogs in the unit gets blinded in a booby trap explosion but still performed his job sniffing out drug smugglers.

@artytoons Wow-wee, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. By any chance, did you ever see "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka"? John Vernon played the big villain "Mr. Big" in that picture. I'm moving to a new apartment soon, and everytime I see the stairwell or the elevator, I'll ALWAYS remember one of the silliest lines from that picture: "There are two ways out of here -- you can take the elevator, or you can take the stairs!" :-)

Think how big a star Heather would have been. For a little girl she was great. She had movie's, guest star roles and had just gotten a TV series when she died. R.I.P. Heather you are missed. If you forgot the TV series it was Happy Days, she played Linda Pearl's daughter, Fonzie was "dating" Linda.

@elizabeth1977 Not as good as prior seasons. Larry Wilcox left the show and this episode must have been filmed prior to his replacement was arrested over a DUI. He was phased out of the show after it happened.
