  • how much would one of these weapons cost? and how old do you hvae to be to be in an reanactment,by the way im 13.

  • are there any places in norther california where people can go and reenact wars

  • how much r these

  • how do they know there hit if they are using blanks

  • just out of curiosity which is usually more fun(if you've done both), americans or germans? i mean like i bet the style of reeanacting is much different.

  • where was this recorded

  • what ammunition do they fire? paint balls? or blanks?

  • they fire blanks duh and dude isnt the emblem the 29th if they are cool

  • well firing paint balls also works...

  • I hope I can try, so how old are you now, 19? you commented 2 years ago right?

  • wish i was there :(

I wanna do this so badly, I'm only 17 tho, maybe when im older. And I live in europe so it's gona be totaly hard.

  • your just like me, I am 17, and I really want to do this, how do you get into this tho?

  • I don't know, I have american friends they say only americans do this. So :(

  • thts so nt true, people in the uk do reenactment!

  • lucky :(

  • haha no we even have ww2 re-eanctment in sweden :D

  • @Bullen934 no so many of them!

  • Not so many maybe 6 groups and togheter 40 reenactors, but I dont know

  • @Bullen934 Not *

  • really all you do is die when you feel like dying, it looks good if you fly backwards after you hear someone shooting then it does when its silent and fall down for no reaon lol

  • is it blanks

and what happens if you all felt like dyeing.

How do u win levels if people never die

  • you dont win levels you relive battles, yes it is blanks, and i dont think everone feels like dying at 1time because it would look kinda funny when 3 shots go off and the hole group dies

  • ye sorry to say win battle i know thats not the point in this. i am very interested

  • they all get to gether and decide who wins u fucking idiots i do civil war reenactments.

  • win levels? this is a reenactment, not a videogame

  • i didnt mean it that way

  • I can never take reenactments seriously

  • well its basically as real as it gets, besides the fact your not actually killing each other

  • 6:00 a moment of friendly fire! XD

  • Awesome reenactment. I wish I could get into it, but there aren't many groups out here in rural Alberta. :P I at least want to get a 101st paratrooper Normandy uniform, and once I get my FAC, a period M1.

  • man same here i would love to be in one of thoes, but im not sure my self if theres any in Manitoba ;[

  • because that's how reenactments work, real guns/blank rounds, well most of the time

  • website

  • 29th . co . uk

  • those are real guns, they're just using blank rounds

  • how do you know that there not pfc guns?

  • Because they are loud. PFC are not loud. They use real weapons with blank adapters but it depends on the weapon. Im a world war two re-enactor, we use blanks for the realism and they are cheap. $25 for 100 rounds. PFC for each shell is like $9 dollars for 3. Buying blanks is cheaper.

  • same

    i portray 12th ss

i use pfc's tho, theyre 100 for 10 euro but each shell is pretty expensive but theyre reusable so its not so bad

  • Ya but when your in an intense battle, your going to loose the shells which sucks lol. I hate that. Only if they made the Pfc caps in a cheap way so you don't have to re-use them and then they will be cheap. The best part about pfc's in how loud they are. There not loud what so ever. I you are in to filming like me, you have a PA for your talent/actors who are shooting the Weapon to see were their going. I don't live in Wisconsin which sucks, because you can shoot blanks in your yard/no trouble

  • cool

ya id like to get a real gun alright and use blanks but im under age and im not sure weather its even legal in my country

  • Looks awesome! Were do you guys get the weapons and uniforms? Also do you guys have any website?

  • those guns soud real

  • Because they are real. :] They just use blank firing ammo.

  • those guns sound heavy

  • are there any reenactments in canada? where?

  • Question do you use fake bullets?

(im from holland english little bad..)

end when do you know you are dead?

  • Real weapons but blank rounds (bullets) you would take a hit when you see a muzzle flash aimed at you and it was obvious you would have been hit.

  • but wont the powder hit the person and hurt a little

  • @stirl29 what age i must have to join you team ?

  • @darthkay

like stirl29 said, you use blank bullets, and it is so obvious when you are hit you see a gun aiming at you, thats why you dont usally see snipers in reenacting as you cant see them shooting at you.

  • I always like this kind of footage because it actually looks like correspondent footage at ttimes if you take away the color and most of the sound :) good vid m8

  • Thanks have you watched any of my other ww2 reenactment videos.

  • Also, it isn't Hollywood. You hear the distant firing and weapons going off, people shouting, and it is all as real as can be. There is no enhancements to make things sound better, it is all there; raw.

  • Yes the trusty mausin naganat rifle, that rifle is not modelled on Mauser in any way, and has its own origniality, but borrows some designs from a Belguim designer (cnt remeber his name, not Mosses Browining i think). Very reliable can withstand harsh conditions no prob, it proved itself during 'Winter War', and has a much simpler bolt system. What more that rifle is the easist to zero (process of making sure your optic scope or sigths are amining towards where ur bullet goona fire.

  • Whats more it uses a basic internal magazine which hold five rounds. Fires 7.62x54mm Soviet calibre, has a rifling of 4 grooves and is bolt action turn bolt rifle.

  • ya but the m1 carbine is pretty cool too

  • Mosin Nagant is without a doubt one of the finest bolt action rifles ever made, up there with the Lee Enfield and the Mauser series.

I prefer the Mauser myself, though I just purchased and M44

  • Yep Mauser Kar98k (or giwhr 98 original), is more pwoerfull and more accurate then Mausin Nagant, but if youin a battlefield you d better stick to Mausin Nagant for more chances of survival.

  • And BAR M1918 is a strange weapon of no fitting into either a ' military' self-loading rifle or a machine gun, but its more of a machine gun to be honest as its used as a swuad automatic weapon in some platoons. While being a good design (good old Mosses Browining) IT WAS NOT SUCCEFUL FOR ITS PURPOSES bign LMG ( lACK OF QUICK INTERCHANGEBLE BARRELS PLUS LOW AMMO CPAPACITY, AS ITS EXEPTS ONLY 20 ROUND DETACHABLE MAGAZINE BOXES) OR AN AUTOMATIC RIFLE (to heavy to manuvre, and very bulky)

  • Very bulky and heavy to be fired from solder or hip that is, and pardon my spelling.

  • where do you get your m1 garands from because i need one because ive joined the 82nd airbonre reenacting group?

  • keep ahold of the forstock of the M-1. It will kick up and fling over your shoulder if not held on tight. Keep with the communications when the squads are on the move,so everyone knows whats going on

  • Bloody great!

  • what the fuck are you guys like shooting at. and are you guys using paintball bullets or airsoft bullets?

  • Neither. They're blanks.

  • what guns do they use

  • M1 garands, i think there are some grease guns and definitely some Thompson SMGs

  • i saw a Springfield 03 in there and its obvious there are M1 Carbines

  • how do u know if ur wasted during these re-enactments? I have always wanted to participate in one on Sprske or anywhere in europe

  • You decide when you die....I do all kinds but not ww2...Im getting started soon but yes...you just decide or when you know your dead.

  • You just see a muzzle flusj towards you and i guess then you just drop dead.

  • The way hes popping his head out, he'll definatly be a prime target to snipers and shrapnel....

Anyway what was so funny at the end?

  • 1-snipers are pointless in reenactments, one shot and if you're lucky enough to have your muzzle flash not seen, then you might be able to get another one in

2- just today I was at the AAF Tank Museum in VA doing a living history, and I can't get over how great some German reenactors can look, and then how sad others can look

  • Sure. Really cant wait to join, but some that will only be some time in 'sixth form'...

Anyway, the Jerrys sure got owned in Stalingrad by Russian Snipers and crazy T-34s tanks.

  • Sorry, I was 'Katvivian' I accidentaly typed a message from another persons account without realsing it..lol

  • I know, it's just that about 80% of the people who see German reenactors, but know nothing about the hobby of reenacting, think those reenactors are supporters of the Nazis

  • Im joining as Waffen SS reanctor, and Im certanly not a Nazi, Its just a hobby, like paintballing.

  • Im just wondering, is there anyone playing the german army or are they shooting at invisible targets?

  • yes, just because they portray the German forces does not in any way, shape, or form, mean they are a supporter of the Nazi regime

  • okay, thanks :) (I didn't say anything about their thoughts, just wanted to know)

  • Yes they are, there are german solders, well the 1 im joining, the Norfolk WW2 reanctment.

  • honestly, why comment

  • this is the gayest shit ive ever seen

  • if something gets in the chamber that shouldn't be there, it's going to jam

  • Them M1 Garands r stupidly epensive rifles, too bulky as well.

  • and the single best rifle the world has ever seen used in combat

  • No mate, I desagre. Mauser 98 and K98 and Mausin Naggant rifles arent any worse then M1 Garand, if not better.

  • i'm just saying, the garand could be thrown in mud, dropped in water, or banged up against the ground, and it'll still work, not to mention the stopping power it has, and it was used by the WORLD for over 20 years use in wars

  • M1 Garand apparently still jammed from time to time. That was very rare but it still happened (and happens).

  • every gun jams, that's a given

  • NO, Not good guns like the American (You should be proud of this) M14s, M21s and the russian kalashnikovs such as AK-47s, AK-74, AKSUs and AKMs.

  • i always was fascinated by the Kar98....it's a pretty cool and powerfull rifle

  • Very powerful, and one of the best, top 10 rifles. Most other bolt action turn bolts are mainly practicaly copies or at least based on Mauser 98k, especialy in bolt and bolt system.

  • totally agree with you. but you know what is very funny???at first i thought that the M1 Garand didnt have a bolt and it was a automatic rifle just like the BAR.But then again i took a closer look and saw the bolt. But this may sound stupid and rediciolus...but in Call of Duty...i dont see the guy going for the bolt on the M1 Garand

  • Number 1 call of duty seriers are just video games very accurate oes but not real life. Number 2 im getting a bit worried here as even a person who deosnt know his guns very well knows M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle, which uses a gas operating system with rotary bolt locking.

  • hmm i didnt know that. but ive seen the Battle of the Bulge documentary on history channel and one american soldier had a M1 Grand and every time he shot he slid his arm to pull the bolt, the vid is evenhere on youtube...but anyway thanks for the info :D oh and you know which rifles i like too??Mossin Naggat and M1 Carbine

  • Nope if he pulled back the 'bolt ' (its actualy serves as chargin handle), he would kept on coking that weapon, no point for that, can casue problems. Maybe you have mistaken it for something else like the bolt action turn bolt Spriengfiel M1903 (even that legend is based on mauser in Terms of bolt and bolt system, which is sligthly refined and improved)

  • well i dont know but it looked like a m1 garand.....go on youtube and type in battle of the bulge and it in i think part 4 or 3 the guy will hae a garand and he pulls the bolt

  • Maybe he does it once to cock the weapon after having eject a fresh 'tied up' 8 rounds.

  • Actually, weapons like the Gewehr 43 and SVT40were better then the Garand. M1 Garand justs wins in the popularity contest.

  • Giwihr 43 and 41 are exllent rifles, the Tokarev SVT40, is perfect as well. Im getting the giwihr 43.

  • Im joining soon as a Waffen SS. Im getting the live Sturmgiver 44 (Mp44), Luger p08 and a few replica grenades.

I migth also later go for an MG3, but god they are fucking expensive, especially the working ones.

Shame in UK u r only allowed automatic combat weapons from WW2 (or something like that) with nothing else but blank ammuniton, makes sense though; cant be used for hunting, markmanship sport nor is it even appropriate for gallery shooting (it is but strict laws with guns exist in UK).

  • so your weapon is like a video camera?

FILL THE POWER OF DIGITAL VIDEO

  • seems fun

  • lol, blat fest reenactors.

  • Stauen Sie die Alliierten, auf wenn der Leiter wouldve bessere Waffen dann Deutschland wouldve gegeben hat, besitzt die Welt jetzt gleich. SEIG HEIL

  • We have a big combat villaged at fort campbell we use. One is comming up soon.

  • this is a privite battle from last year ..and here you can see the 29th c.company and members of 514 and other units like SBG german unit ..we use ww2 weapons that have been modefied to use blanks ,,M1 garands and Tompsons..k98 and mp40s ..we have people who will say you are dead and you have to go back to the stageing area....hope this helps

    andy .(pfc 29th c.company )

  • we don't bother going back to the staging area, we just sit down and take off our helmet. We use that time to piss, eat, or drink some water.

  • For me it's load B.A.R mags.

  • Roger that. Everything you see in the movies we have or have access to. The group I belong to owns the Tiger Tank Mark 4 from Saving Private Ryan.

  • I'm waiting for an event in which there's more than a jeep or halftrack

  • Man, I've seen Kraut Hetzers, Tigers, 251 halftracks. GI Stuarts TD's and other various armored vehicles.

  • yea the only event near NC that has armor like that is Sons of Valor in Camden, SC. Other than that I have to go all the way to GAP, PA :(

  • wtf .. you shoot someone and you got to scream at him that he's dead xD?

  • Usually its if you see the flash of a gun in your direction then you drop dead.

  • Heh, Big Red 1 Infantry Out of Tx.

  • 1st ID out of WI.

  • 82 Ab out of NC

  • I might have been to some events you have, I did alot in the midsouth.

  • Very real WWII combat experience, it's like someone went back in time and gave a rifle section a video cam.

  • are u guys 4 real?

  • This is the REAL thing. A lot closer than it was in the films.

  • Lots of 14 year olds lied about their age like my mother's oldest brother and ended up serving in the Navy AND in the Army in WWII! He was a big kid.

  • I reenact with the 82nd AB 504thpir in NC. egdgv, we use real guns but blank ammunition. To sean, if you don't care about monetary value then you can tap the barrel so you can NEVER shoot live rounds again(unless you don't mind switching barrels everytime) OR you can get an external BFA, which I have on my Carbine, works great, google them. PS I am 14, and yes 14 year olds can reenact. Visit us at 504thpirdotcom

  • How do you know when you are shot, like what is the system? Is it an honor system?

  • is it the soft air gun bulets?

  • nice

  • hey great video! I was in the 25th inf. 116 reg. in Northern Georgia! i was just wondering what is the best blank fireing adapter? I noticed that my m1 garand makes a different fire sound and everyone elses sounds just like the real thing. anyone help me out?

  • War defines a Nation ...

  • I don't get it. Are you trying to make fun of Americans?

  • dude no offense....but almoast all of the world makes fun of americans lol..

  • I would like to see alot of videos like this one, well done guys!

  • where is a good website for a reenactment rifle?

  • lovely sound effects!

  • nice, next time try make a better quality.

    Best Regards fellows

  • Isn't war stupid?

  • nope

  • ya im with u man

  • Yeah

But hell, its fun to play (people don't die)

    :)

  • If war would be stupid there wouldn't be countries.

  • yes there would be countries even without war. some countries just want more land so they create war

  • How do you get the blank firing guns to cycle automatically? Do they have special blank firing barrels or something?

  • yeah there are many different types of blank firing adapters that you can use for the various types of semi auto guns that are used

  • Hey if you guys ever come out to California look up the California Historical Group.

  • Upload a higher quality copy...

  • Great video. I'm from Winchester, VA, where the 116th is located. Love seeing the the blue and grey.

  • Awesome, but how cna you tell if your been struck, wouldn't tht take the whole stragetic aspect to warfare when the enemy doesn't die when you shoot him.

  • Gum chewin' Yanks. That's the way to recreate! Good Job.

  • I'm doing Re-enactment things to

    I'm the german medic :)

  • Very nice...they are not airsoft, for the stupid people...they are real weapons firing blanks. They most likeley use an honor system.

  • if you think those are airsoft guns, why is there a muzzle flash?

  • excuse me how do you know if you are hit if you dont mind me askin'

  • I don't know who rated this so far, but I give it 5/5. I just love the sounds of guns, and whoever implanted the blanks did a good job to making it sound very close to the real thing. Though some guns I see seem to be off. Like the thompson sounds like it's using 9mm rounds but w/e.

  • glad to see when you shot at the Kraut coming in threw the door you pointed at the floor. Blanks can still kill

  • Comment:very good weapons and thought out battle and supplies

Advice: Get a better quality camera most of it is blurry

  • I didn't know that there were 29th war re-enacters.

  • hard to tell airsoft from blanks. Im a american 29th Division reenactor. @(th LETS GO. 29th, Lets Go!

  • great renactment lots of action. what types of guns were you using? airsoft or blanks?

  • it was totally airsoft..listen tho the guns espically the M1

  • definitely blanks, the camera mike filters really loud bangs.

  • Hahaha George and stirl What heroes. What a great battle weekend Absolute F**King Kickass

    29th Let's Go!
