Missing chapter 22 is about 8 min long. Main events: Robin wants to suicide but is stopped by her father. Julie breaks up and is almost converted by Diana. A solo rescue attempt by Donovan fails and he's killed, but he's found out to be a disguised visitor, a saboteur from the 5th column which wanted to kill Diana. The visitors leaders decide to move all major prisoner to Earth for safety reasons, and to arrange a briefing. Also, Pamela clearly doesn't like Diana, and has Stephen on her side.

Oh, by the way, for those who didn't know, the actress who played Pamela is Sarah Douglas. She is the same actress who played the role of Ursa in Superman II. Ursa was one of the 3 super villians from Krypton who escaped the phantom zone and came to Earth to take over.

@mrderekevan The rankings with the stripes are inconsistant at best (which doesn't bother me really). One thing that is glaring is that Martin is one of "Diana's most trusted leftenants" (lieutenant) and Martin has two stripes. However, the black visitor who brokered the deal with Robin's father to give up the location of the rebel base in the original miniseries is referred to as a captain while he has one stripe. A captain is certainly not below a lieutenant, at least in human military.

@submariner103182 Yeah. That's a good point too. I never noticed that. Also, Diana should technically be a captain since she's in charge of an entire mother ship, and a captain is usually in charge of a ship. But then how could the black guy with only one stripe also be a captain, and why would he be under Diana's command? The rankings never did make sense and that always kinda ticked me off! Not that it really affected the content of the show, but still, it should have made more sense.

Here's one minor detail that never quite made sense. First of all, despite the fact that Diana is often remembered as the "leader of the visitors" she was really only the commander of the ONE ship that hovered over Los Angeles. When Pamela arrives in this clip, she is identified as the squadron commander, who is supposedly in charge a whole squadron of ships. She's clearly above Diana. So why would she have the same number of stripes as Diana? You'll notice Pamela also has 3 stripes like Diana.

@mrderekevan Diana was John's second in command for the original mission and commander of the LA mothership. She has 3 stripes on her chest and 3 on the cuff of her sleeve. Pamela as squadron commander has 3 stripes on her chest and 4 on her sleeve; one more than Diana.

@jspenw It seems to me that Pamela is above Diana but still reports to John. Therefore, Diana couldn't actually be the second in command. I believe Diana was only 2nd in command as far as the scientific mission, but as far as military command she was only in charge of one ship. You have to admit, it's not exactly clear! As an extra note, the visitors are often compared to the Nazis and I remember reading that Hitler's command structure was very complex unlike the allied forces which was simple.

@mrderekevan Great points! Diana was head of the scientific mission but also second-in-command of the invasion force during the original mission. John states this in the V mini-series, before the final battle. Pamela does indeed outrank her and in fact Diana's ship is only one in Pamela's squadron. I think it's similar to a commander of a task force. Who can be out ranked by an officer yet still be given command, or be 2nd-in-command. I friended Jane Badler on Facebook and will ask her.

Sarah Douglas's character Pamela wasn't supposed to have a British accent, but Sarah didn't have time to practice with a voice coach. She did, however, manage to tone down the accent so that when she said the word "schedule", she pronounced it "skedyool" and not "shedyool"!
