ye Hyundai is good car...had my 03 tiburon for over 5 years and lowed it...good quality, fun, and relaiable....for past 5 year Honda only been 8% more reliable then Hyundai - not worth paying higher price mark-up....
As far as comparison to Mercedes in comersial ....Mercedes have pore reliability (no better then chrysler...for long time now...most European cars are pore in reliability)
LOL im noticing this trend with car ads. all of them seems to fight Mercedes. watch the Audi commercial 2011 superbowl ad and at the end they compared it to mercedes, now this one's compared to mercedes also. well honestly, i like Audis and this new Sonata very much, its just that, i dont think it can really par that much with Mercedes. Are they just really insecure with Mercedes to the point that they actually blatantly compare? (like cmon, just a better paint job than Mercedes?...thats it?) :D
@warracer03 The money they don't spend on great paint, better materials for the interior, updating their engines is pure margin. Yet they charge as if it is the highest quality.
The last Mercedes "built to last" was the W123 chassis. All the newer Benzes are overpriced garbage, and it's a goddamned disgrace.

@dragonamt Everything about Hyundai that u said are kind of true, but keep in mind Camry is still the most selling car in America as it was in 2009 despite Toyota's all the bizarre situation. The only brand that can really compete against Toyota is Honda. Hyundai still has a long road to go to get there, at least 5-6 years.

In these economic times, people not only look at quality, and comfort but price as well.
Hyundai's reputation was horrible, at first, but it is much better, and will continue to get better.
