  • I spent 3 years in Korea working with the ROK's never met a coward!

  • Drafted, why didn't they volunteer like those in the North? Always weak couldn't keep the Japs out, and then didn't do anything until the u.n. came and we had to fight for these cowards.

  • @skipsassy1

Many Koreans were drafted back then, but at the same time, many volunteered and were eager to fight against the North Koreans. And cowards...yes, you're right. The South Koreans were frightened to death until you Americans showed up to provide us with military provisions; therefore, you have our thanks. And lastly, "always" weak? Nah, brother. If you look back to the Vietnam War, we had the best counter-insurgency method, effective kill ratio, and keen sense of weapon caches, etc.

  • @skipsassy1

Even several American officers and generals stated that the South Korean ROK were surprisingly tenacious and ingenious in premeditating ambush tactics. Documents were also found in some hideouts, which told the Vietnamese soldiers to never engage directly to the ROK soldiers. I'm not trying to be desperately arrogant, but can't we, as brothers, just get along? In the past, I concur that most of us were cowards, but not entirely.

  • @theeye86474 That's why though i never seen any story and heard them about it. I heard some ROK are the same as Australians: Hide and ambush. I'm not sure how Americans but i think america relied too much on firepower to do it and look at the Malaya emergency. It went from 1948-1960 with over 560 commonwealth forces lost. But Vietnam i think was difference because china was sending them so many supplies to that region.

  • @theeye86474 The ROK soldiers were feared by the VC, they were ruthless and committed atrocities just as much as the americans, aussies and Kiwi's did, of course the Communists were just as bad.

  • @rickkaraitiana

    That's war for you, brother.

  • @theeye86474 When did Koreans and the Vietnamese ever fight in combat?

  • @TheMichael408

The Koreans and the Vietnamese did engage in combat multiple times. I know a lot of teachers and historians don't or didn't frequently mention about the events, but there were several engagements between the two countries. Even the North Koreans themselves during the war took part of supplying armaments and providing air support to their Communist Vietnamese comrades. Little research would do.

  • @theeye86474 oh ok,yea I never heard of it

  • @TheMichael408 uhm those were north koreans the good- south bad- north

  • @MrErickim2001 your a dumbass the north are bad and the south are good get your facts right

  • @soccerguy13able Lol, good and bad...

  • @Lubunumber2 why?

  • @soccerguy13able There are 'bad' and 'good' guys on both sides, just because one side fought against your country, doesn't make them the bad guys

  • @Lubunumber2 Ok then why did you say that north was good and south was bad and yeah north is bad for trying to kill everybody on earth and also im not saying Korea is bad im saying there leaders are crazy and bad.

  • @soccerguy13able I never said NK was good and SK was bad, must be someone else.

  • @skipsassy1 Eh, effective troll is effective. What about the Vietnam War? I heard you had some deserters...? And some... Hippies... And some...

Yeah. Every country will have cowards, no doubt.

  • @shiron236 yeah. during the korean war, some students who were to fight went into hiding.

  • South Korea = shit shit shit shit shit shit

    Lolllllllllllllllll

  • GO DOWN!!! This is hilarious. Looks like they had no training at all. The strike itself isnt even bad...

  • @ljlassi I assume you haven't seen this movie.

  • were watching this in class. studying korean nationalism now. moving closer and closer to japan :D

  • @haxproductions1

T^T You western fucking moron... Of course they did not have any training most of these men were plucked right off the street. South Korea needed men during the war and they did not have enough time to train them so they brought in the draft.

  • @MrConsumerWhore1 you might have misread my username. the only thing i said is "were watching this in class." have a look

oh and fyi: im asian too

  • arty arty where u at

  • Now THAT is some serious acting. Holy shit, I almost peed my pants. The arty blasts didn't kill him, but his brother's shaking probably did. Hilarious!

  • i cant stop watching because my dad went to war and that reminded me that

  • The Korean version of Saving Private Ryan? Thumbs up, if you think so!

  • @foomboom2 uh the story is completely different....only similarities are the video tone, extra gore and close ups of people getting blown up .

  • @foomboom2 Haha, no offense, but apparently, no one thinks its a Korean version of Saving Private Ryan, cuz its not even close.

  • If you learn korean history in 1950s, you would understand how different from your contury

every real wars are not made for your favorite movie.

  • The Korean version of Saving Private Ryan?

  • @foomboom2 lol

  • I'm sick of Hollywood making war films when people stand the pain no matter how bad it is, this is reality of war. God Bless those who fought, USA and South Korea.

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 this wasn't made in hollywood. if this had anything to do with holly wood those korean soldiers would probably be speaking english

  • @Calzo777 I know it's not, I said I'm sick of those films from Hollywood. I did not say it was from there.

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 oh sorry i guess i got a bit confused there but i do know what you mean, ever since saving private ryan they've kinda started milking the idea

  • lol at 0:09 oh noes my rice gots dirty ill just brush it off

  • @thatonecamel when your at a war and thats the only thing they feed you in a day i would do the same, plus 3 second rule! LOl

  • If you kill a person in the iraq war, you would know how funny it is than FPS!

  • What's the first thing the man says?

  • @selftonotemy i think he's telling his brother to eat the rice

  • Excellent movie. One thing is South Koreans know how to make movies unlike hollywood

  • Funny how some things never change, even today.

  • if north whuld attack now. then it whuld be difrend story. south korea has one of the best armys in modern world.

  • Korean war was strated by the USA controlled puppet leader of South Korea.

  • @suutari13 you are an idiot.

  • @pwkid

    You should do some RESEARCH!

  • @suutari13 lawl. So the United States crossed the 38th parallel and took over North Korea's capital? My ass.

  • @pwkid

dude General MacArthur with his American soldiers and the allies did capture Pyongyang and all the way up to yulu river. Until China sent more than 300000 troops into aid. which drew the allies back to the 38th parallel

  • @spartandaniel117 LOL, they captured it in response to North Korea's aggression. Gotta slap a bitch once in awhile to keep 'em in line.

  • @spartandaniel117 He threats to nuclear bomb China did you know that?

  • @suutari13 I think u should do some fuckin research N. Korea attacked first and almost took the entire peninsula everything but Pusang and it sourrounding land! after the Inchan landings it forced their retreat and Who ever the president of S.korea declared that they shall unite the entire peninsula and that is where china got involved bla bla bla line finallt stabalized around te 38th parallel what bout that dont u get............i not tryin to spell right i dont care bout it right now

  • @suutari13 The North invaded the South

  • @suutari13 Dumass! Do some research before putting some false comment

    Dumb piece of shit

  • @jchoi0918

You are brainwashed by the jewish mainstream media.

  • @suutari13

    north invaded south noob

  • @holland787

yeah thats the official western mainstream version whic never lies

  • @suutari13

hahaha this is the truth. but you have right that the western countrys are arogant and think that they are all god

  • @suutari13 You commies bastard. The North Koreans invade the South and occupied it. The US came to liberate South Korea. Learn your facts.

  • Strike again? :/

  • it semes that usa had still more modern weapons in korean war then koreans.

  • how come the iraqis never hit and killed that many us soldiers with thier arlitlery strikes?

  • @yuri60014 because theres nothing left for the iraqis to use

i mean they already killed 100000 iraqi civilians in the crossfire thats alot of us bombing

    fuckin US pigs

  • @jonlscott

no, i'm talking about the first Gulf war, when the Iraqi army was the 4th largest in the world and a regional "super power" able to inflict tens of thousands of casualties on coalition forces. it appears no one us soldier died from Iraqi artillery. so how did the majority of them die? was it just from plain ole gunshot wounds? the iraqis fought against the Iranians for 8 years, and killed millions, but they hardly put up a fight against the US?

  • @yuri60014 because the us diddnt engage them, they bombed them and bombed them with missiles then when they city was in ruins and nearly 75000 civilians dead they invaded

    cowardly if you ask me

  • @yuri60014 yeah they hardly did. bechose their army was big and obselete. just bechose you have big army does not mean that it works well. western countries wher better ecued and trained. allso education is just as important. in iraq they have very low education system.

  • @gooddarkjedi

i wonder if they could do the same to the chinese, or north koreans today.

  • @yuri60014 bechose coalition artillery culd spot and shot them far before they had chance to mobilace.

  • yelling at a guy and slapping him on the face is always better than actual medical attention

  • @ninjaFAMAS Quit spreading hateful messages....it's repulsive....

  • Everyone's english is horrible lol

  • This movie is called taeguki

  • you'd think artillery strikes would be much bigger

  • @ninjaFAMAS are you having fun giong around different videos relating aobut korea and trolling? Its really amusing to watch pathetic people like you ranting stuff like you do. No one in the world will miss you if you kill yourself since you really have nothing to contribute to the world

  • @ninjaFAMAS ^_^ hello viet monkey. did you know the koreans fucked and killed many viet monkeys during viet war? good job koreans. salute!

let me remind you that chinese are born to kill viet monkeys. we have been doing it for 1000 years and still do it today. do some WA WA for me and i will give you some chinese shit to eat. teehee

  • @rainyday2005

    CHINK rainyday2005 is here. ^ ^.

    Parasite of CHINA are everywhere.....

    Ho i love JAPAN!!!!!!

more 20 millions of CHINKS WA WA were extermined in WW2.....

Samurai, killer number one of SHINESES.....LOL.

^ ^ where is your grandpa CHINK WA WA ?,,,,,,,,^ ^

  • @ninjaFAMAS hihihi i'm here to fuck and kill viet monkey like all chinese do.

no matter where you go, we will come and fuck your ass up then feed you some chinese shit. good doggie. do more WA WA and i will give you more shit.

go asians, lets kill those monkeys together and show them why they are the beggards and refugee of asia. ^_^

  • @ninjaFAMAS Quit this shtick....it's annoying....

  • My grandad did artillery for the americans in the korean war

  • I know they are trying to be realistic, but the incoming is whistling like artillery round, and only has the concussive force of a small mortar. If you knew what real artillery is like you would want nothing to do with war cause it is much worse than this. A 175mm round will blow a crater in the middle of your trench line.

  • So sad

  • Jesus christ spread the fuck out

  • @CADPATKrieger Panics a terrible thing. Bear in mind the men here are 2 day old conscripts in the film with no real training. The only thing you can do is tell people to find somewhere decent to hide. Wether they do that or not is another matter

  • Hey anyone know the name of this film??

  • @BommerNZL TAEGUKI Brothers of War

  • "태극기 휘날리며"

  • Fuck China, N. Korea, Russia, and anyone else that hates Korea / America

  • @SimplicityInItself

This only shows your ignorance. You are a shame of the Koreans/Americans. Don't forget the war crimes against civilians committed by the Korean and US armies in Korea War. The Chinese was the only belligerent not accused of such crimes.

  • @FrankFantasy Excuse me! those crimes were because we were afraid of north korean infiltrators and to be fair yes the Chinese trated us better but both Nk and Chinses forces commited way more serious war crimes that the u.s and allied armies war is war get used to it

  • looks lie a good movie too bad i cant understand it. its a shame korea is known as the forgotten war

  • even thought this movie is in korean, id strongly recomend seeing it in english subs. absolutely the best korean war movie.

  • @guthixxxx You mean best of all war movie

  • I loved this movie. it was better than Saving Private Ryan for me.

  • this is without a doubt teh saddest war movie ive ever seen. ITs still an incredible movie tohugh, i strongly reccomend it.

  • did that soldier gun went off and the bullet hit his fellow solider at 1:30?

  • @DataSerpent Yeah, I saw that too.

  • @DataSerpent

yea, that's what I love about this scnene.

the rookies of teh S Korean army. they don't even know how to fight. they are so scared and they don't know what to do. The Communists were very brutal and violent. they killed every S Korean Villagers regarding age. and they raped women of teh south.

    bloody bastards

  • what is this videos name

  • @paintbalr09 I tihnk this movie was called brotherhood of war

  • I can't imagine life back then when there were no guns, wars with swords and arrows would be more dramatic to experience, forced to kill those right in front of you.

  • @Pellegrino80

but those were the days of glory

    this is even worse

    exploding people and unpredictable death...

  • @juliusyeung0330 Both are still bad, but I personally think the past before guns was worst... Back then some killed each POWs by beheading each one by one... Just the same as exploding body parts with bombs...

  • Well it happens basically because men are willing to fight and kill each other. It starts when the leaders of one group / country decide to try and force another group or country to do or not do something. Sometimes the decision is promoted by the Men who make big bucks selling War stuff.

  • Think the scene tries to show the North Korean mortar attack on the South Korean positions.

Most probably using 50mm WWII left over mortars given to them by the Soviet Union.

The simulated explosions are of no more than 50mm caliber.

  • What movie is this?

  • @ManSmokingACigarette It's "Taegukgi" or "Brotherhood of War"

  • @Caleb7575

    Thanks!

  • My grandmother told me that the best survival strategy in an artirely strike is to run and jump into a crater made by one of the shells. The chances of shells hitting that same spot are small! Running around is probably the worst thing you can do!

  • @1gorogoro1

You are irrelevant to this and appalling to all.

  • many UN soldiers fought in this war but none of them dont appear in this movie lol only koreans appear. in fact koreans were weak and useless in this war.

  • @osakar Lol thats more or less true, they were like the afghans army now

  • @osakar:

    >Implying South Koreans, once equipped properly, weren't the backbone of the UN forces.

You mad Japanese boy? Former colonies still have a military (one of the most effective mind you). Enjoy your JSDF. lol

  • @Schmidtah I'd always heard the south koreans weren't very good for most of the Korean War. But now they're considered some of the most elite troops in the world. apparently, they were really good in Vietnam.

  • @osakar shut up u dont know anything about korean war stupid

    who's ur parent?

did ur parent told u that?

    awwww

i think ur parent shoul go meat doctor

  • @yedamkimn haha every1 know that. koreans did nothing useful but killed innocent citizens in the war. lol

  • @yedamkimn and every1 says this movie is unnatural for that. the story was made as though koreans fought alone in the war.

  • Comment removed

  • @osakar

Koreans fought in war, they had too, or else. Japs like you should all get nuked again ^^

  • couldn't imagine being in that position.

  • the ending of this movie made me cry lol, very touching

  • at first i thought at 0:31 that was a bullet which confused me, until i realized it was shrapnel.

  • I just saw the movie.... wow, I'm appalled. Great direction and very intense scenes. War is no romantic thing like some movies portray. Movies like this are important, so people won't forget about the horrors and consequences of war...

I'm also glad this is a korean movie. I hope cool heads prevail in the current situation.

  • is this a movie??... if it is plz tell.. looks good

  • @rchangboi it's called assembly<
