Enjoyed watching your video. Last time I visited intamuros 1958, when I was a kid. We stopped infront of the Manila Cathedral still being finished. I will definitely visit t his place on my next visit to the Philippines. You've showed more than the rest of the videos presented here by travelers. Thanks!
Philippine government is already starting on re-building the Marble Palace - Ayuntamiento.
They finsihed excavations and are now beginning to build the walls.
Fact:
Ayuntamiento was the grandest building in Intramuros. It was built in marble, contained many paintings done by well known Spanish Hasburg Royal painters. The interior was furnished and decorated from French, Chinese, Spanish and Austrian luxury imports.
It was bombed during World War II and never rebuilt until now.
It seems to me that I am in the Antigua City (Guatemala), ó in the Candlemas Neighborhood in Bogota City (Colombia) and up to in the Habana Vieja neighborhood (Cuba), but not, this is Within the walls in Philippines, a place of great beauty, certainly a exchequer of great value.

Beautiful video, a recollection of the time of the Spanish in Philippines, and a permanent link with his your brothers of Hispanic America. Regards from Costa Rica in Central America.

San Ignacio Church was suppoused to be re-built as well with funds form teh Spanish government.
Unfortunately some idiot who did a presentation to the Spaniss representative was very pro-American and anti-Spanish.
Thus, the presentation consisted of how the Spanish were bad and Americans were good.
In the end the Spanish government did not give any money, why would they after such a presentation.
