Uh for the record, the only reason the camaro weighs more than the stang, is because the camaro's engine is a 6.2L while, the stangs is only a 5.0L. Ford outhandles the camaro because ford carefully designed the rear axel to withstand the stress of lateral acceleration and they used proper gear setups within the axel to work in harmony with the gear ratios within the transmission. And finally the ford gt today cost just about as much as a zr1, due to it's limited production. need2speed94 lies.
@wa7shilli Definitely not hah. The only reason the new 5.0s beat the SS is because the SS's have shit IRS and weigh a bit more. The SS powerplant still makes more power than the 'highly acclaimed' 5.0 . That's a nice new mustang but it aint that great. But btw how much does a GT cost compared to a ZR1? Is the GT still in production? NO. Is the ZR1 still in production? YES. How much does it take for a ZR1 to outrun a GT? A hell of a lot less than the price difference. That's for damn sure.
It's about time... I know from personal experience Screw Type compressors are more efficient right across the rev range...
Also, when valve timing is optimized for boost, you can achieve a ruler flat response and a wall of torque from idle to maximum revs...
The down side?... well I can't think of any worth mentioning, apart from positioning on the motor... I prefer to install at sump level to keep the center of gravity down, then route to a air to water intercooler.
The real question here is ... is it LOUD!!??? =P
