It was originally written as 7 stroke rolls, and the elbow is too high to compensate for the table height. I believe this carried through for Univ North Texas snare line years ago under Paul Rennik (Sp) when they wore their snare higher. Nice job!!
NOOOO. I don't know why on every YouTube video on an ancient fife and drum corps piece, everyone comments that they should or would be better with 5 stroke rolls. Like many ancient field drum pieces, the seven stroke roll is what's written in the sheet music.
