I thought I recognized Jane Siberry singing. I have a big orange cat too. Mis name is Marcus (named for Marcus Cole from Babylon 5 because he knew no fear) and he's 17 lbs. He's my buddy!
I love my big orange boy...he's about 20 lbs (loooves his food) and 5 years old, soon to be 6. It's going to be a sad day when he dies. :( You had a very beautiful big boy.

@gaypeta1 Just in case you didn't see SeepyGatito's reply, the song is The Sky is So Blue by Jane Siberry. It's on her 1981 debut album. It's one of the best songs ever. Jane is a true animal lover and so many of her songs are tributes to all living creatures.
My own big red Charley was ill. I asked the vet to help him out of his suffering. Yesterday I had to bury mij very beloved cat...It makes me cry again when I see this video of yours. It must have been very painful to lose your pet-friend, I know. Perhaps the both red ones meet each other in their world, and become friends. Who knows?
So sweet.. I know you miss him a lot. I lost my big orange 13 y.o. tabby boy last Fall but surprises happen....just so that I found out his 14 y.o. Mommy was placed in a shelter in NM after her owner died so my cousin and I flew out from MD to save her and bring her home! That's how special these cats are. My boy was the spitting image of her in every way and now I have her to look after for the rest of her days! I have been blessed twice!

What a cool kitty... my next cat is gonna be a big ol' orange tabby like your Thor.. my ex-gf has a big orange kitty named Tony that is absolutely awesome. They just have that attitude that makes them so much fun. Your Thor looks like he was a very happy cat and I know how hard it can be to lose a pet. They truly are part of the family and once they are gone it is very hard to cope with. Your memorial is a very touching tribute to a cool kitty.

I have had two red cats in my life. One, Tommy, I lost years ago to cancer. My current red cat, "red" is a rescue. I like the red/orange cats, they seem to have an attitude somewhat like the redheaded kids we knew when we were young and in school. Sorry for your loss, I feel it as well and for all the cats everywhere.
I want to thank you for posting this video. My big orange (ginger) boy Hobie Cat crossed the rainbow bridge 2 weeks ago due to congestive heart failure. Hobie was only 11 years old and at his heaviest he was 24 pounds, but he was big like your Thor kitty. The picture of him laying on you is especially touching because that is how we snuggled. Thank you again, this has helped me work through the grief. These big boys have great big hearts!!!!
You can tell he was a cool cat . . . the way he let you dress him up . . . my cat would have a fit. You can also tell from this video that he was very very loved and had a wonderful kitty life. That what counts.
Yeah, the willingness to dress up was a big surprise for us! And man did we go for it once we discovered it! Wish we had more pix of him in his costumes.
My sympathies for your loss. I too rescued an orange and white tabby from our local shelter about 3 years ago. From the very start he has been our best friend and the perfect fit for our family. Thank you for posting this memorial, it has made me realize that I need to start taking more pics of my Bradie to have memories that will last forever. Thanks!
