  • This is such a good song. Thanks dialstter for letting me know where I can find this song. I remember hearing it from that album. I really like it now! It is wonderful! A very good tune!

  • is that lift scene kind of the same thing as Jim Keats' lifts? i never watched this series

  • @GeekStop1 Nope, it's very different :) if you like ashes to ashes, you really need to watch life on mars! It's amazing!

  • Awesome vid, nancyblackett!

    Thanks!

The Original BBC- aired Life On Mars is inimitable.

The U.S. version might have been OK - although no where near the brilliance of the original - but, the networks have that PC-disorder and also don't give shows enough time to develop a following before canceling them. Also, the way the US version ended was... painful.

  • who sings this song?

  • @dialstter ATOMIC ROOSTER from the album 'In The Hearing of....'the song is called Decision...Indecision

  • Can anyone please tell me where a good website has the piano sheets of the song?

  • the acting was superb,

    the love story sublime,

the writing very clever, "your mobile what sir?"

the visuals almost correct in every detail,

but nothing came closer to perfection than the music selection.

decision/indecision- the tragic vincent crane at his most brilliant and ethereally beautiful.

  • Brilliant vid - song is sooo fitting. Off to re-watch LOM on my lovely boxed DVD st. Been re-watching alot of stuff during this JS drought - waiting impatiently for DW Specials to come on!

Excuse my little rant, your vid has helped Immeasurably - Ta' :)

  • I remember the BBC version being promoted on BBC America, but never watched it. The US version came into existence, I watched it , got hooked, needed to watch the rest of series, so I downloaded the british version and never went back to the US version, because it sucked. In 1973 , you could smoke anywhere and alot of people smoked. British version showed that, Us version didnt show anyone smoking. I hate political correctness.

  • the music for this video did not work for me

  • I am beyond mad that ABC canceled Life on Mars but keeps shit shows on like American Idol..though that is Fox, DWTS....all those reality shows. Like survivor? PLAYED OUT ALREADY.

  • The British version is the Best, cause its believable. Thats how it was back in the 70s. The Yank version is copied and they are just try hards. They can't think for themselves. Even when they have something to copy theystill screw it up, how useless is that.

  • is it really.

  • Im american and your british ending of life on mars was way better...ours ended with sam huging gene and wakes up in a space ship on mars

  • Oh my God - that sounds such a cheesey ending, dude! I thought the opening of the US series when Sam wakes in 1973 and sees the Twin Towers intact a really powerful scene, but it's climax sounds awful. I believe the Uk version finally gets a release on DVd in the US this July - If you've never seen the BBC series before, please check it out - it's a modern classic. :)

  • oh yea leave it up to abc america to screw up a great show...right when u think hes gonna go back 2 2008 they write a terrible ending 2 make everyone MAD...bbc ending and show was way better

  • you do realize why the climax was awful rite...abc loves canceling smart shows worth watching which gave the writers not enough time to wrap everythign up. I dont know how they can keep "dancing with the stars" on but not try to keep this show on arrrrggh

  • Life on Mars is bloody brilliant :)

Ashes to Ashes is too :D

  • i've just finished the 1st series it's brilliant i can't wait to see the next

  • I LOVE this song. Seems so hard to find, though.

  • Brilliant. Well done Nancy.

  • How many season is in Life On Mars?

  • brilliant!

    loved it <333

  • As ever Nancy...Fantastic...

  • this vid is amazin

  • Bring back big album sleeves with proper art work, album covers you can carry under your arm, not crappy, tiny booklets you can't read!!! Death Walks Behind You!!!!!!

  • what a simply magnificent pianist vincent crane was ! the makers of life on mars simply could not have chosen a better song to represent sam's predicament. i will admit i had a tear in my eye when love won over all else. magic and thanks for this video.

  • muy buena rola del Atomic Rooster

  • I´ve been looking for this song ever since I saw the last episode of Life on Mars. Thank you for making the video and putting it up here. The scene in the pub is one of my favorites.

  • what is the name of the song and who is it?

  • The track is a track I recorded with Atomic Rooster, It is on the In hearing of C.D. and its title is decision indecision, I had the pleasure to have been the vocalist at that time, my name is Peter French thank you.

  • I stumbled across this album "In hearing of" Atomic Rooster (on vinyl)in 1979 at a second hand record shop in Sydney(Australia)This was the standout track on the album and has always been one of my favourite songs,I love everything about it, the excellent piano, drums, vocals, lyrics & vibe of the song, always brings a bittersweet tear to my eye

  • Brilliant Vocals
