There's a way easier way, and you get more complete results... I have this same thing done easier in my vids. This way is another way as well, I guess. :)

Using select color range :-) Like i show you in my video.

Color range isn't good when you have lot of ilumination in the car, you can put in quick mask and select mannualy with a brush. After that is just change the color with ctrl+u. Other easy way is use 'replace color'.

I merged them. You hide all the layers you DON'T want merged. Then you go to one of the layers you do want merged, and press ctrl+shift+e :-)

no i cant do that. normally i do same way to change color but metallic color is not changing.

No it dosen't. Metallic means that it has small metal flakes in the paint, and you can change the color of the car like in my video.

No, it is not. I paint scooters, pocketbike and other things like that, and a metallic colors is one that has metal flakes in it. A very bright shinny color is a color with a high gloss clearcote on it.

Yes, i did read you comment. Many people just think that metallic color meens it's very shinny.

what fuzziness do i set it to because when i press ok the selection is not right

You should just play around with the fuzziness setting. You can se a black and white picture, right? All the white is everything that will be selected.

You just try to sample a new color :-) If all the light spots on the car is selected and not the dark ones, then the color you have sampled is to light ;-)

It works best then, that's right. But you can use the pentool to remove the wrong selections.
