  • Hes dealing with more than a fuel problem looks as if hes burning oil. with it being a turbo car who knows where the oil is coming from

  • also... if hes known for blowing engines on that car then hes doing something wrong, either very bad maintenance, or running it rediculously hard and driving it wrong.. because ive seen plenty of those cars go a long time without complaint even in the race series cars

  • if it was blown then it wouldnt start up at all.. sounds like a fuel issue the way its sputtering like that

  • Fuel Pump for sure

  • american quality cars..

  • @madzanta Shut the hell up. Hmm, it's not catching fire like Ferrari 458's and Gallardo's now is it. Dumbass.

  • Yeah,,,how about putting some fuel to it....hahaha

  • sounds sick when it does catch

  • I can't see in the dark, but I won't thumbs this down because i just found out the Saleen S7 has nothing to do with Ford. I will now find a nice pick for my wallpaper. thnx.

  • ",but its Ford-based design has benefited from millions of dollars of research and development undertaken by NASCAR race teams. It's light--a street Twin Turbo engine weighs about 440 pounds, says Saleen engineering vice president Bill Tally, who started out wrenching for bike racer Kenny Roberts before moving to sprint cars and NASCAR stockers--compact, and very loud."

....... copied directly from motortrend website

  • and it still sounds nice!

  • Beautiful car, sounds like a beast but in the end its a ford product and they all end up on flatbeds quickly!!!

Found ON Road DEAD!!! Fixed or repaired daily lol

  • That engine isnt blown if it was the car wouldnt even be able to sound like that

  • Yeah that sounds like a fuel pump problem. For anyone who knocks the car because of this then they don't appreciate simple physics and what happens when you have cars with these kinds of stats. Being an American car the replacement costs should not be as much as the over inflated prices of Euro cars having worked on a Jaguar myself.

  • ohhhhhhhhh

  • Blown motors don't turn over at all. I've had one throw a rod. It will not even crank. LOL. Some other problem going on there.

  • i pushed 750 hp out of 2.4 4g63 head, every drive that thing broke down i dont know how many times i ran out of fuel or the computer messed up $13,000 for a huge headache and worn tires this time im going with muscle

  • So Sad But haha oh well the dudes a NOOB.

  • Comment removed

  • Its then FUEL PUMP THE MOTORS NOT Blown at all

  • What a retard. You don't start it when it reacts like this. And you certainly don't start it like 10 times and punch the gas...

    Retard exotic car owner

  • A ford is a ford any way you look at it lol To bad this is about the only ford that looks half way decent but it still runs like a ford lol "Found On Road Dead" LMAO!!!!

  • Well it cranks like it has even pressure in all the cylinders, and is black smoking terribly. Black smoke is fuel, not oil. It seems very flooded for some reason. Coolant temp sensor or something like that.

  • Put some gas in it dumb fuck

  • why is this idiot consistently trying to start the thing. common sense should tell him he's making whatever is wrong even worst.

that jerk in the toe truck can position it to lift the car.

tell ya having alota doe doesn't make a person smart.

  • He probably overheated the muffler bearings. If they get too hot they lock up and start blowing oil vapor.

  • @Fastangboi muffler bearings lmao

  • wow dont just fuckin push it like a normal person--lets keep starting it over and over to see just how bad we can fuck it up

  • MAN WHAT A NOOB LOL

  • Just because you spend $600,000 on a car, doesn't make it reliable. But if you got the money spend it.

  • black smoke came out of the exhaust. i think there is a problem with the oil line or something.

  • The SOB probably overheated like crazy

  • people have u not thought about the turbo or turbos ? its smoking and not running obviously aemp82s got no idea fuel pump pfht it wouldent even run

  • thats not blown if it was blown you would hear some type of knocking

  • thats not true at all

  • why is it not true unless it was a head gasket or some type thing like that but when someone says blown i think of rods breaking and a block cracked. Maybe i just miss understood

  • ya like a sprung rod or sumthing.

  • the motor isn't blown at all i the motor is blow will not star and start for few moments i thing that is the fuel pump y by the way for the owned of the car, jackass take care of your car

  • your correct. ANd if it was blown the street would of been filled with fluids...

  • yeah that´s correct i´m agree with you in that too you will see a lot of oil

  • fuel pumps dont go out slowly...when they go out...they are dead no fuel=no rev fuel pump is obviously still working in this car.

  • ford peice of shit

  • Saleen=Ford, I don't see where you get that from

  • iff his idle need tuneing it would start lol dumb ass

  • kinda sounds like a prop plane haha

  • No, the motor isn't blown at all. It looks to me like his fuel pump went out on him, which is a simple fix, by replacing it with a new one.....also, to all you ignorant turds, the S7 V8 engine is NOT FORD BASED!!!...it is Steve Saleen's own design!!...so, again...the S7's motor is NOT made by Ford in any way, shape or form!!...are we clear on that??

  • @1aceves Just did a quick google and came up with this: "The Saleen S7's 7-liter engine is a technical tour de force, producing 550 horsepower at 6400 rpm. Based on a Ford form factor, the Saleen-massaged all-aluminum V-8 follows traditional American cam-in-block design to produce significant horsepower and torque "

  • @eazyrider17 Dude...the very first Saleen S7s that rolled out of the factory in Irvine, California in the first year of production in 2001 did have Ford based V8 engines. After that, Steve Saleen started installing V8 engines of his own design...Google it & look it up for yourself, brother!....that's a fact!!

  • I think he just has a flat tire...or his a/c compressor went out on him..just needs to recharge his batteries. maybe try some lithium ions ...shoulda bought american

  • @1aceves it's a ford based design. its an all aluminum version of ford's 428 that was used in nascar. the block is aluminum and everything else up to the pushrods is ford's

  • @1aceves 427 my mistake

  • @1aceves yes it is ford based,,,BASED,,, but it is 100% saleen and has never even seen a ford factory,,, dry sump 7.0L, 16 valves, single cam, twin garrett turbos, and aluminum block only weighing 440lbs,,,,,the car itself is all saleens design, but the engine is still 'based' on a ford block,,,, sorry ignorant turd :) research before you open ur mouth plz..

  • @1aceves lol the only part of the ENTIRE CAR that is made by ford is the BLOCK. Any one who contests this is an idiot and should go FLY A KITE because you have no Knowledge of the subject and don't own one so it would be smart to listen to the people that do.

  • maybe his idle needs tuning?

  • when you get down to it the saleen at heart is still a ford and they love to blow up

  • nah saleen s7 is not ford at all and the engine isn't blown up

  • engine not... probably ... saleen not being ford... now you're wrong there... the S7 motor is a Ford motor, and just as unreliable as the rest

  • its still not a ford

  • let the engine go for a secend,

  • he is trying to start it, he not just shutting it off after a sec of it being on. it prob has to do with inconsistent fuel delivery

  • how come the americans have better warranty than others

  • Because they break down less. I know this might be hard for you to comprehend, but the company will offer service for the vehicle until it starts breaking down. That's why cars that last longer generally have longer warranties, and cars that break down frequently have pretty short warranties. It's all about money.

  • Thats why you don't buy an American car. People are always going on about how much better and faster a Saleen is compared to a Ferrari or Lamborghini, well it isnt going to beat either of those on the back of an AA truck. All they do is stick an enormous engine with huge turbos in the back of a crate and hope it works.

  • That model is the competition which has over 1000hp. The turbo boost is upped quite a bit, and I believe there are only 2 competitions. Saleen hasn't had time to properly test the competitions, and how much the extra boost affects the block. The competitions are a trial run, like I said they have only make 2.

  • And no, if you actually know a Ferrari or Lambo owner, you know how much they break down. Just about everything that can go wrong does go wrong on them.

  • I do happen to know a Ferrari owner, I am one. Never had a problem so long as they are maintained properly.

  • Haha, 29 and a Ferrari owner? Well aren't you special.

How about showing us a video of your Ferrari. This is YouTube after all.

  • Engine is blown it's probably a bad driver and he was over doing it.... Probably show boating and shit in his own corn flakes. yup

  • Exactly what I was thinking. Probably someone who has a lot more money than talent behind the wheel and didn't appreciate what they had enough to respect it.

  • FAIL!!!

  • even blown...still sounds GREAT trying 2 start =]

  • Damn, that sucks BIG TIME

  • why would he keep trying to turn it back on, he cant figure out its gone? what a dummy

  • He just filled up his tank....horrible fuel economy

  • Hey, it starts for a second.

  • no compression. Piston ring is probably fried.

  • If the owner of this car is the one trying to start the car no wonder it's blown it's motor. The guys an idiot and who knows what the driver has done to the motor or too the car!!!!!! Complete idiot

  • turbo engines always have issues like pipes blowing off and stuff

  • the air flow meter prob. due to an intercooler pipe popping off im guessing

  • White smoke = water in exhaust. Most likely turbo seal or bearing.

  • noob

  • easy fix, still sux so bad tho

  • pile of yank shite - buy a ferrari next time

  • fuck off that car when fixed will smoke any ferrari including the enzo

  • or blow up again lol. its fast but they are not that reliable.

  • hahaha let me guess, you think a ferrari is reliable? thats funny.

  • Just as reliable as any supercar

  • Sounds like the BOV popped off

  • sounds and looks like he fried some piston rings

  • Nah I think his fuel pump went

  • yeah but i think he atleast was in the process of ruing some o-rings cause the black smoke comming out the pipes means some type of petrolium item is being burnt.... which can be the effect of a friend fuel pump not lubricating the cylinder walls.

  • if the fuel pump went he wouldn't have been able to start the car up

  • He is starting the car and it quickly dies out. It is the fuel pump

  • wrong....it wouldn't start at all if it was the fuel pump. unless you sprayed carb. cleaner in the intake. it would just spin over.

  • That is a fuel pump that is working intermittently and on its way out. It would still fire up and just die out.

  • i guess thats a possibility. but why the white smoke?

  • Looks to me by the black smoke he has some bad spark plugs there nothing wrong with the engine thats why it wont keep idle.

  • any vehicle when you are pushing 1000hp it becomes unreliable without extensive testing for long period of time typically things like this happen pushing alot of power can make anything fail when pushed to hard. From what I remember on the stats on this engine this engine wasnt built for 1000hp but 750 with turbos since there were only two 1000hp models built i could see this happening.

  • This motors not even blown.. if it was it wouldn't crank at all. But your right reliability goes down as power goes up. But when you forge the internals, with a spot on tune, it'll be just as happy as a stock motor. Just take care of it.

  • Why is he even trying to start the damn car in the first place? They have a damn tow truck there. Why not just winch it onto the flatbed? The truck can move and the car can't. Back the damn truck up to the car and winch it on there.

  • ya...thats good, keep starting it and reving the motor, that will fix the problem...lol...idiot

  • its not a waste of money. And we probably blew it when he was reving it too much. Saleen S7s are VERY good cars

  • It's a waste of money to get a car like this. Just my op opinion.

  • and i agree...too much money but car isn't worth it

  • you can get the same amount of power for a lot cheaper. i agree.

  • That shit won't even fit on that flatbed lol. Look at how wide the car is compared to the towtruck.

  • Running way rich, EFI has went bad.

  • There is nothing wrong with the engine in this car. If the engine was blown it would,'t crank at all. This guy just probably have a blown hose. Which is very common issue in some supercars. If you race them, eventually you are gonna blow something.

  • agreed with you. supercars or any car has a limit... and yeah... my tesis is that the air hose its blocked with sometimes because he can start the car but theres a lot of smoke going out there. if it was a piston you would hear it...

  • can stand going 160 for a while down the back roads of montana unlike audi where u have to break the damn car in. sorry for the rant its just sad to see something like this go down on the road after all its a beautiful piece of machinery

  • This makes me so sad. Because this actually happened to me when i was driving down the highway in my r8 except it wouldn't even start up the second time. i imedeatley sold that piece of shit and now i drive a slr after all the r8 went in the shitter a month after i got it damn audi stay to doing what you do best making luxury cars not wannabe supercars see now the fine folks at mercedes took care of my larger size with the xl seats and the convertible and it

  • Im sure you own all these cars when your 18..

  • Man I would be pissed if I owned a $500K+ car and it fucked up like that.

  • out of gas

  • found on road dead

  • Hope you know that is a saleen not a ford saleen

  • Still a ford engine when the day is done.

Sounds and looks like the injectors are flooding it.

  • that engine is not blown you can tell its running rich and the engine will start just not run i agree with garryhope60 he probaly was at full boost and blew a hose

  • 500 thouand bucks...i hope steve is happy at his chinese job...

  • push the fucking thing you dumb cunt your just doing more damage starting it and tryin to run it, quit bein such a lazy fuck

  • I agree fellow. besides the fact that the engine was already unreparable at that point and you gotta change it anyway, this wasn´t necessary.

  • slam this tight lil ass =]? 1

  • sounds to me it's blown off a boost hose after the air flow meter and it's pumping in too much fuel

  • thats what i'm thinking but if he has money to

buy a car like that he probably does not know how to fix it if it just blew off a tube hose he can fix it with a penny if he did not lose the rubber tube sock and the hose clamp.

  • He was trying to get it on the flat deck, the nose is too low for a winch it would screw the air dam.

  • Everyone on here dont know shit about cars. Some fuckin stupid ass comments that make no sense

  • its easier to blow a racing engine than a normal car engine its highly modified vs a stock one its still beyond me how that happened he must beat the snot out of it

  • O.K. just for ha ha's i tryed to blow my rams engine i was on the rev limiter for 5 mins and it still ran. hmmmmm. what exactly did you do to screw up a racing engine. O thats right you proble droped it into 2nd gear at about 180 on public streets.

  • tbh sounds like it wants to start because it actually does but the immobiliser is fucked and kills it

  • How the fuck are you so dumb that you manage to ruin a engine that is specifically designed to take abuse?

  • it wasnt built ford tough

  • what a jackass you dont keep restarting it cause you'll ruin the engine even more and that just floods it.

  • fuel injected !!!

  • rich people cant drive...

  • wish people that actually knew something would post. NOTICE the tailpipes light up meaning that there is unburned fuel going in to the exhaust/turbos' and burning there. The guy probably over-revved it. And dont judge a car by a shitty driver. I bet your supra cant drive upside down @ 120mph, now can it?

  • That's reverse lights, not the exhaust.

  • Hard to tell with the poor quality footage and the crappy comp Im on doesnt help either.

  • You're um, retarded to say the least.

  • Wow, witty comment there......

  • He fried the piston rings, you can tell that from the video because it smokes when started and wont hold compression(stay started)

  • he didnt blow the engine he probably flooded it and over reved it

  • this is what hapins if you dont break in the cars engen

  • the sparking plugs are swiming in oil, as well as the engine. He's got oil mixed in gasoline, thas why the engine is smoking bad outta hell....

  • um this car isnt carby so i dont see how the petrol and oil could get anywhere near each other??? but hey please try again :) ;)

  • I didnt wanna say it but those damn american cars.

  • OMG DOUCHEE BAGGG That car cost u how much n u jst blow it lik it a Suzuki WTF i aint buyn that car den

  • fuel pump's either burned out or the filter's clogged. Either way, t hat motor is far from blown up. a blown motor wont run or try to run.

  • PEOPLE, LISTEN TO THIS GUY, Makes a very valid point!

The engine just needs to be cleaned up or whatever, fix it a bit ... "Blown" would mean having to go back to Steve Saleen and your knees and beg for his forgivness!, 'cause replacing that engine is gonna cost you YOUR HOUSE! :P lmao

  • if the motor was blown he wouldnt try to fuck it up more

  • Motor was not blown. It is a fuel issue.

  • thats american for you
