This is by far my favorite ending, the whole point of Blade Runner is it does not matter who we really are physically but who we believe we are. That is the true genius in this game, there is no way to know for sure if McCoy is human or replicant and the ending is based on what you the player decide to be.
did you try VK-ing her instead of warning her about Crystal earlier on in the game (i.e. before Baker interrogates you)? If so, that might have prevented you getting a Lucy ending. Also, if you were playing as a hunter for the most part of the game (e.g. killing Zuben, etc.) then even sparing Lucy's life probably wouldn't have been enough to change the kind of ending you were going to get.
I enjoyed this ending the most. Mainly because of the fact that it shined a brief little ray of hope into an overall shithole of a world that is the world of Blade Runner.
I felt a lot worse about this ending after seeing the moonbus ones, especially considering how easy it is to just shoot the twins and every other replicant instead of helping them.
I understand what you mean, and personally, I always play as a replicant sympathiser instead of a 'hunter', but, I do still like this ending (probably because of the music ^_^").
i love how every ending made sense. There was no ending that was telling you "fuck you, why'd you shoot x". Every ending feels right, even this one where you shoot a bunch of people arguably more human than you.
it isn't something mentioned in the end game credits, so I think it's just an in-game original composition by the game's music composer. Sorry I can't tell you anything more specific. It's goo though, right? :)

umm... if you want to think that then yeah. The ending is left open for the player to interpret how Crystal & McCoy's relationship develops.

@owaffs Obviously, that's the Boratic(Borat) interpretation!
On a serious note, Crystal would at least start treating McCoy with respect, as if he's a "made man" and no longer a rookie.

I got this ending, although I spared Lucy during the Maze scene and she just disappeared for the rest of the game.
Weird...
