Nice koi, and I don't have a problem with koi in an aquarium ... but a 75 gal tank is 48 inches (4 feet) long. I know. I own one. That tank doesn't look 4 feet.
they need more space, either a much much larger tank or a pond. i have a 150 gallon and i wouldnt even consider putting even 1 koi in there. these fish will end up stunted and you can see they need more room to swim even now. lovely looking fish though.
I have a 150 gal and there's no way in hell that is half the size of my tank. And I wouldn't even put more than 1 koi in my 150. They get up to 2.5' and need about 300 gallons per adult fish.
@TigerAlbino1800 You probably have a 75G regular. There is regular, long, and high. This one is definitely a 75G high. I know because I have a 10G, 20G long, 55G high, 75G long, and a 180G wide which I house my 2 Tiger Oscars in. I'm currently building an indoor Koi Pond myself which will be approx. 400G+.
This tank is definitely a 75 gallon High. Any Aquariumist could tell you this.
I do not know why many people buy carp and then get obsessed with her beauty and then put several in a mini aquarium's when they die are feeling blue: what you doing is wrong!
hey your fish look healthy? what type of media are you using? and how often do you clean and change the media? I'm curious because I'm having problems keeping my koi's alive in a tank. Thanks.
I agree Snuragurran I keep my 3 Koi in a 180 gallon tank with a few other fish. A 75 Gallon Fish Tank is better for a Medium Cichlid Tank or a School of Tetras but not Koi that's too much!!! XD
this tank look like 20 gallon to me,because i got 40 gallon breeder longer and wider than this tank!

GREAT TANK! Any fish tank is great, especially a koi one. A black background really makes them stand out even more.

Yeah, that doesn't look like 75 gallons at all. I have a 37 gallon that looks bigger than that... probably time for a tank upgrade.
I agree with lilbluependragon, something looks wrong with that one's stomach!
The gold ones and the white one are gorgeous!!

Oh my good Lord! o_O Get a bigger tank for those poor things! Are you sure that's 75 gallons?! Doesn't even remotely look like it!

Schade um die schönen Fische, das Aquarium ist viel zu klein !
Ronja114 2 years ago
That tank is way too small for that many koi fish, either that or you have a filter with capacity double your tank size
dangloc89 2 years ago 2
koi are supposed to be kept in ponds or in 100 gallon or better 75g minimum
rainbowsix38000 3 years ago
the koi looks like it has dropsy. his belly is akward. i might be wrong, it could be a female. nice koi! love it!

Cool - put your hand in the tank to compare the size of the tank to the fish.
