A cow raised for slaughter on one of the big American feedlots is pretty much tortured its whole life. It is born into a pen. It gets moved from pen to pen to pen. It never gets to leave the pen. In fact, it never gets the chance to eat actual grass growing from the fucking ground. The animal is injected with hormones that make it artificially gain weight.
If I were a bull, I would pick the life of a fighting bull over that of a slaughterhouse bull any day.
