  • Jordan the greatest dunker of all time in my book... Why people ask? Because his dunks in the air defined ART... As soon as you saw it in slow motion, the ART revealed itself! ... No one has yet come close to this type of ballet & astronomical art on AIR..... Simply beautiful!!

  • dr j had the ugliest free throw dunk along with serge ibaka ugly dunk. look at a slow mo of jordans 88 dunk and their is no way in hell you can say its not the best. and then you have people saying well jordans foot was over the line, who cares the one in 87 was on the line and still looked better than ibakas or dr j. just admit the 88 free throw is the greatest dunk of all time. past present and future

  • well said frank, jordans 88 free throw line dunk was the greatest single dunk of all time, first of all jordan dribbled to the line and then at the halfway point jordans head is even with the rim and the ball cocked behind his head along with his other arm. and when jordan dunked it he was barely reaching out he made it look easy and could have went another foot back period. anybody thats ever done this dunk runs up to the line and are streching with everything they have just to make it.

  • Even back then we were just as immature and put up 69s

  • 5:53 thumbs up if you see the 69

  • R.I.P MJ

  • thumbs up if u skipped to see only jordans dunks

  • 5:55 69 LOLLLL

  • I can't believe Clyde Drexler tried to copy MJ!! WTF who does that??? 5:24

  • LOL@ Tom Chambers...he tried I guess

  • This was my favorite of the 3 dunk contests MJ was in. The double clutch at the free throw is remarkable, and of course the kiss the rim dunk there aren't enough words to describe that. Also, I always thought MJ should of the 85 dunk contest maybe I'm just bias but I always thought Dominique's dunk were very similar and lacked the style grace and creativity Jordan's dunks had. I know Wilkins was a power dunker but he still could of been more creative. Thats just my opinion.

  • 0 dislikes nice im going to be the first lol

  • He changed the way people dunked that year! Amazing!!!

  • mike best dunkes were those from the side

Do´wilkins is til this day the best nba dunker ...sad he wasnt there

  • 5:41.......what a finish !!! gotta love it !!!

  • Check out the joker at 5:56, among all the 10s, he gives an outstanding 69!

  • Jordan is GOAT but Stansbury had better dunks

  • Look at the air, look at the hang-time, look at the flying motion!

MJ is the platinum standard of the NBA. I miss the 90's of the NBA.

Lebron is good and bound for greatness, but as an all-round player of just shear determination and flat-out win at all costs mentality... Jordan will not be eclipsed fir a very long time.

    MJ 'Air' 23 forever. T23

  • lol @5:56 what a tool

  • AIR JORDAN ..

  • Even in the era of pre, during, post workout supplements, specialised workout regimes, rehab, prehab and nutritional knowledge you do not see any NBA pros who can do the dunk at 5:04, and that is 23 YEARS LATER!!!!!! 23 years folks....

  • I love that song in the introduction of this video! Does anyone know what the name/artist of it is? Ever since I heard that tune I have been aching to know what it is.

  • geez 8:22 geez

  • he kicks his legs then slamms!! ohhmyy gooddd!!!!!

  • That leaner dunk is one of the most beautiful dunks ever. Nobody does the leaner like Mike.

  • I love that statue of liberty dunk

  • thx for sharing. Great stuff. I miss the 80s and 90s.

  • lol, see the joker holding up the 69 after the one handed reverse from MJ at 6;00...someones always gotta be "that guy"

  • 5.12...Damn! Who was the dumbass that gave MJ a 9 on that dunk at 5.12?

  • why is drexler always copying mj's dunks

  • GREAT STUFF.......

  • GREAT STUFF.......

  • To be honest, MJ was lucky to have made it past the first round. I think he knew he had to step it up which is why his 3rd dunk was from the free throw line.

  • Glad to see you back, Hoops!

  • Hoops what happened to your page?

  • look at the air

    look at the hangtime

    look at the flying motion!

look at his head above the rim!

    ICONIC!

  • I think theres one MJ dunk missing. The tomahawk leaner from the ealier rounds. Anyways fantastic post as usual. Your stock keeps rising Hoops!

  • yes hoops your channel's back

  • Back when All-Star Weekend was good. :(

  • Thank u guys for this video!

  • Am I the only one who thinks Jerome Kersey's Dunk at 8:47 is pretty good. Almost a double windmill slam? Also although everyone likes Jordan's Leaner and Free Throw line dunk, I think his best was his 180 windmill from the dotted line that he did in '85 where he spun the ball around and dunked it behind his head.

  • @Amir883

i think his best dunk was the one he did in magic johnson charity game when he palms the ball and swings all the way to almost hit his right foot and it is like he is drawing a rainbow on top of his head.

  • @popeyeisgood I remember that one. I thought he could have touched his heel on that one.

  • Great to see you get your channel back hoops. Thanks for this, amazing...

  • Thank you SO much for upping this. That is all.

  • @FrankGarrett316 Not Jordan's. Jordan's free throw line dunk is one of the most athletic and skilled dunk all time. That and his rock the craddle. All other free throw line dunkers run with the ball and stretch out. Jordan dribbles the ball which takes away the momentum and uses more athleticism, curls back his legs and pumps the ball with one hand. No one can duplicate a Jordan free throw line dunk with the one handed pump and dribbling the ball full court.

  • @Jasluim I wouldn't say no one, James White has the sickest free throw dunks, but then again if we are talking NBA'ers then yes Jordan has the best one

  • @FrankGarrett316 You make it sound like its easy to do what Jordan did...His was more unique cuz he pumped the ball and dribbled all the way through that no one else could ever do.....No one does it better than Jordan ....and compare that to the Drexler freethrow dunk.....and see whos more creative.
