How safe did the harness feel? When I was on the space shot I felt extremely safe, but on a different ride it wasn't tight enough and I was slipping, sliding, whiplashed, and I was terrified I'd fall out. How comfortable is the seat and is the harness tight enough to hold me in and not get whipped around? Help much appreciated, because I'm going on it tomorrow and want to know what to expect. Thanks for the video (:
@terminatorman123 PART 1 oh i hate when people bring this up when ever i talk about mindbender... yes i crashed in 1986, WHY? the trains used when the ride was constructed/opened in 1986 were totally different trains then now, the trains then had a serious flaw where the back bolts holding on the wheels has to be checked and tighted very very regularly, a newly trained employee missed a check/tighten and the result was the wheels falling off and the last car dropping off the rest of the train
@roksys69 PART@ this caused the safety harnesses to release due to not making the last loop all the way around and sliding back... the ride hit a pillar and released all the lap restraints. three people died in the accident and one severely injured. the ride was closed for investigation and it was found that 1/4 of all bolts on the trains were loose on the wheel assemblys. the trains were sent to germany to the manufacturer (schwarzkopf coasters) and were inspected...
@roksys69 PART3 and completely overhauled and rebuilt... prior to the crash there were 6 trains (2 red, 2 blue, 2 yellow) labeled as trains #1-#6 train 1 was the one that crashed and was yellow, all the trains but the last car of train 1 were returned, the mall later disposed of the last 2 cars of train 1 that were left and painted over the newly overhauled cars which are in use today, the only part that remains on the cars from 1986 is the body of the cars. the paint can still be scratched ...
@roksys69 off to reveal the previous yellow paint of train #2, the next car in line before the crash, so although there is nothing to be worried about when riding the ride, look for a scratch when you go to ride it and see what color the paint is under neath... just remember car#1 was NEVER used again! yes i have ridden it many times, it is very fun to ride and is safe to ride, do not be scared of this ride in any way. i only went to all this time typing to assure you that it is SAFE and fun!!!
@roksys69 hey Ya everything u said was right Except they still have the OLD car in the storage, my friend works there and took a pic but the made some new cars and INSPECTED AND Upgraded... But ya jst wanted to say that
@abdol30 i didnt know that, i knew they stored the last 3 cars from the car#1 in the basement for a while but was told they scrapped them to ease the public a bit... also another fact ,before the crash they used 4 car trains pushing 6.8g's now they use 3 cars maxing 5.2g's! huge reduction... i rode it today actually and 5.2 is still a lot of force, it is enough that i started to black out going into and midway through the second loop, made it alright though but 4 secs of black is scary! lol
@roksys69 I don't get why this ride gives such a high G forces since it's not that tall... Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster are like 4x taller and don't give such high G forces... can you explain that better? Thanks =)
@juniorcasemiro the reason it has such high g forces is exactly as you stated, because it is smaller. that means it has sharper turns, and smaller loops at the same speed as an average "fast" coaster (60-65mph) the loops on other big coasters are double the size at the same speed, so the coasters are slowed down through the loop, when you hit the first and ESPECIALLY the third loop (smallest of the three) it feels like you just hit a wall. once when i was on it... continued
@roksys69 i had tilted my head down just a little, about enough to see your feet when sitting in a chair looking straight forward right before the third loop, it felt like if the loop went on for any longer my head was going to come off. it was like hitting a wall! i couldn't ride anymore rides that day because my neck hurt so bad... why? because of the size/speed on the loop pushing down on you so hard, if i had to say by knowing the coasters i do 95% of the time, smaller is more intense!
@roksys69 oh I see... I've read that people constantly blackout on this ride LOL... I don't know how I would react, maybe I'd blackout for the WHOLE RIDE, specially on the first drop which seems to be a killer one! It's interesting to see such a powerful and strong ride as Mindbender inside a shopping mall! Do you know the name of any flatride or any other roller coaster that gives higher G forces than Mindbender?
@juniorcasemiro none that i know of, most do not blackout on drops, its mainly around corners and on loops. when i rode it last weekend i blacked out on the second loop for about 4-5 secs. that and the third loop are the most intense on the whole ride, the first loop isnt so bad. this ride producing 5.2 g is still very strong, causing you to weight almost 900lbs if you normally weigh 150lbs through the loops and corners. all the blood goes to your toes and leaves your head causing said blackout!
@roksys69 i agree with ya i have rid the mindbender about 60 time but everytime at the second loop i start to see black and my head just buzzes lol... so i now that feeling lol
k i think tht this is the best POV of the mindbender cuz the other ones i c make it seem like the ride is slow but i think its beccause they were in the first cart and first pair of seats so maybe thts y its good to take the 1 cart haha
omg i live in edmonton so i go to west ed a lot. i go on the mind bender a lot to. i have gone on every ride there more then once. and im only 13 =3 hahahaha i love galaxy land to bits. great video.

I also got a POV from the front row. Its on my channel if you want to check it out. Although I like your video a lot because you can see how close some of the head choppers are.

@abdol30 When the ride's Gs are too intense, you black out for a few seconds. Same happens on Intimidator 305, after the 305 foot drop.
