I went on the pod once again and I noticed a slight door malfunction in pod 206. The draught excluder was coming off which made it difficult for the door to close.
The PRT system is a cool, small-scale transit system, but for transiting within a city as big as the NYC or Downtown Tokyo, this system would be a fail. Most big cities would rely on Light Rapid Rail Transit (holds 20-40 passengers) than a Personal Rapid Transit (2-5 passengers).
@derekcsy90 Why would it be a fail? .. Tell me how many passanger a big gasoline car have in NYC? Yeah.. mostly 1 .. right? .. Replace all cars with this transport and there would be more space on the streets and fewer accidents.. Also beeing able to share a transport if you want to.. If you going the same direction would be more economical..
akumie: are you thinking that everyone in the world will begin their journey at the exact same moment? Otherwise, the pods will each serve many people.

Also, we already as of 2009 have a shortage of iron and metal so making all the tracks and atleast 1 million small trins/city will never work unless they destroy all of Himalata or something to find more iron
The big problem is not how to travet but that earth is already overpopulated as it is
I mean having this in x10000 cities with over 1 million population just will not work and then what, in 300 years as it is going now we will
@akumie have 10 billion people on erath and then nothing is possible unless we force people to move to mars, kill some people or force people to onlt have 1 child/family
It's looks like they have rubber tyres - what happens when they go flat or have a blow out? (who fixes it?) If on the main track does it does it bring the whole system to a halt?

that system is a fail
if every so called train can take up to 4 people then there must be over 1 million of them working at once in every city
in the end there will be to much train traffic so trains will have to wait a long time to go to destination
