@ArtistikVision Actually I think the max is 300, 250 for M2TW.

@ArtistikVision It's because it will only allow you to to have units up to the amount set in the export_descr_units.txt file. The max you can set is 250 on large unit sizes although the value is smaller as it is multiplied on the larger unit sizes so take the one from eastern infantry. @jacobgovan I'm trying to edit the unit size... I know that 240 is the largest you can get normally

but I've seen some people edit files and get 300+ per cohort.

And for some reason when I try to edit files manually, It wont let me at all.

Has the 1.5 version of rtw been modified so that people couldn't mess with the "script"

I know that I can change the unit size in the export_descr_unit readme file, I've been told that where it says "soldier", and "40" I can change to 60, to get 240soldier

@jacobgovan I've also noticed in the "battle editor", I can make unit size, top at 300.

but when I play my custom battle, I'm only have about half, of what I should have...

for example... praetorian cohorts should have waaaay more than 151... and my generals unit has 49, when I set it for 300.

I've been looking around for some answers, but i'm honestly getting no where.

@ArtistikVision Ok just did it and it works. So in the line that says soldier edit the first number on that line and put it as high as you want. The bigger the number the bigger the unit. Then just save the edited .txt file to your desktop then copy the unmodded one to a seperate folder to use as a backup. After that all you have to do is copy the modded version you saved to your desktop and paste it back into the RTW data folder. All done. Have fun good luck ::D

Then it says

"Make sure that the path and file name are correct".

I've checked it several times, and I can't figure out why it fails to work

now I have 240 in every unit... except calvary, which is at 197.

Lol i know u cheated. Look at the Whin/Lose bar by the map. When i tried it they survived for like 10 seconds and the Whin/Lose bar was almost no blue on it :P (Btw sorry for the spelling... im from norway and im not really good at english)

@jacobgovan lol, i did that with my Cheated on campaign and conquered the whole map with the britons in 1 week, i hacked the peasants but i have a problem with their morale, whenever the general dies, they practically instantly rout even with 120 units still left.

@ben5rokz i cant remember exactly, but i think that you have to change your stat moral to 30 or 40. If you edit their armour and health reall high then you shouldnt have any problems anyway.

You go to custom games

@alex45myass skirmish online or oflline? I don't normaly play online, but offline you just start the game, the menu comes up then you clic on single player then you click custom batle. Afetr you have done that you should get a screen showing you the diff factions you can select, select one for yourself and one for your enemy then accept. Now you cose the troops you want, be sure to select troops for your enemy/ally too (upper right corner) then you accept and the battle should start.

lol thanks, check out my other videos to see how to do it, you can then create your own mods if you want. I just upgraded my pc and its a bit faster so i can show you peasants fighting against a full army of 2 roman factions (cavalry infantry archers all fully upgraded) 1 army of greeks mostly hoplites but some archers and cav too all fully upgraded, plus 1 full army of egyptians with charriots and infantry all fully upgraded vs 1 unit of roman julii peasants no upgrades, not a single one dies.
