I'm pretty ticklish on the bottom of my foot, and girl's feet are pretty visible at the top a lot of the time, and I need to make sure I don't look too trailor park at work - gotta be able to hide the tattoos if I have too, without looking badly dressed.

I've actualy got a girl friend who got one done across her chest, around her ribs, then up her back and over her shoulder and a little onto the neck - she told me that until they got to her neck, it wasn't really all that bad.
at least u could handle a tattoo better than a lot of people cause so many are really sorry at taking it. mine was kind of nuts cause I got my right sleeve done in a weekend 11 hours saturday and 10 and a half sunday.
Apparently the ankle is the 2nd to worst place you can get one - i didnt know that at the time - but it wasnt THAT bad, I mean, it hurt, but it wa bearable. A few months later I went back and got a second tattoo on my inner left wrist! I might be getting a third one for my birthday later this month, and a 4th one at christmas! :) We'll see!!! :)

Actualy, I think I figured out the trick - if you work yourself up thinking it is going to be unbearable, then when you get it done, its less then you expected, and you dont mind so much.

It all depends on how much you want the tattoo. The best advice I can give you is, expect the pain to be compleetly unbearable - that way when your there you'll be relieved by how much you overestimated the pain to be! :)

Yea, tats DO hurt, but they ARE tollerable. i find that if u go into it expecting the worst pain posible, when the pain actually starts you think to yourself "that's IT? That's not so bad! and I've been told that the ankle is one of the most painful places.
Still, if you don't think a tat is right for u, then there's no pressure to get one. It's ur body sweety, n u need to be happy with it :)
It the equivelent to writing on your skin with a pen, and going over everything 10x, pushing down hard. If you do get a tattoo, make sure 100% you want it later on in life too, I am regretful of one of my tatts (baby-blue cross)?!?! WTF was I thinking.
Im not sure I agree with the "it feels like pushing down on ur skin x10" - i think the "vibraty pinch/sunburn" would be a lil more acurate - at least thats how mine felt, and what others have also said, though it also has a lot to do with WHERE u get them - I got one on my inner wrist at christmas and i didnt feel anything at all there. But I definatly won't ever regret my bunny tattoo - it was a memorial tat, n i don't think u can actually regret those. :)

oh my god. Okay seriously... this guy who did your tattoo SUCKS. That tattoo is horrible. If you think that is good... I can only imagine what you would think with a GOOD tattoo artist.
He was still apprentising at the time. I was one of his first clients, cause he was my friend and I wanted to help him learn, plus I wanted the tat, and I trusted him, and I loved it thats all that matters.
He's touched it up since - and it does look FAR better now, but i kinda miss it the way it used to be - even though hes improved so much.

Well, u have to take into consideration that it's swollen from 2 hours of getting inked. Tattoos always look better once they've had a few weeks to scab, peel and heal fully.

Ankle tattoos hurt pretty bad. All tattoos actually hurt pretty bad, but the ankle is one of the most painful places.
Make sure if you do get one there, you don't regret what it is you get.

Yea, anywhere that has a bone that you can feel is more painful. Ankle, hip, etc.
A place with more flesh hurts less. Bum, boob, etc.
I got the inside of my wrist done as my 2nd tattoo, and that one didnt hurt at all.

The tribal butterfy is actually the first tattoo I wanted to get, back when I was 18, but i could never settle on where exactly to put it or how to make it look. This tattoo however is a memorial one, and that took prefference.

Surprisingly NO!
When I got my wrist done, I actually didn't feel a thing! Apparently it's one of the most painless places on the body for a tattoo :)

i have 2 tattoos and my 1st on was on my foot and ankel and the part on my foot hurts on then my ankel...its painful but i love it i cant wait to get more

Yea, tats DO hurt, but they ARE tollerable. i find that if u go into it expecting the worst pain posible, when the pain actually starts you think to yourself "that's IT? That's not so bad! and I've been told that the ankle is one of the most painful places.
Still, if you don't think a tat is right for u, then there's no pressure to get one. It's ur body sweety, n u need to be happy with it :)

It the equivelent to writing on your skin with a pen, and going over everything 10x, pushing down hard. If you do get a tattoo, make sure 100% you want it later on in life too, I am regretful of one of my tatts (baby-blue cross)?!?! WTF was I thinking.

Im not sure I agree with the "it feels like pushing down on ur skin x10" - i think the "vibraty pinch/sunburn" would be a lil more acurate - at least thats how mine felt, and what others have also said, though it also has a lot to do with WHERE u get them - I got one on my inner wrist at christmas and i didnt feel anything at all there. But I definatly won't ever regret my bunny tattoo - it was a memorial tat, n i don't think u can actually regret those. :)

oh my god. Okay seriously... this guy who did your tattoo SUCKS. That tattoo is horrible. If you think that is good... I can only imagine what you would think with a GOOD tattoo artist.

He was still apprentising at the time. I was one of his first clients, cause he was my friend and I wanted to help him learn, plus I wanted the tat, and I trusted him, and I loved it thats all that matters.
He's touched it up since - and it does look FAR better now, but i kinda miss it the way it used to be - even though hes improved so much.

Peter's an apprentice - he's still learning. And personally speaking, I LOVE my tattoo, as does everyone else who notices it.
If you don't like the design, that's MY fault, I drew it - but I won't respect ur opinion if u dont like it - its a memorial tattoo.

Well, u have to take into consideration that it's swollen from 2 hours of getting inked. Tattoos always look better once they've had a few weeks to scab, peel and heal fully.
And YES peter is ADORIBLE! :)
