  • Brian was indeed a Beatle, the fifth one...the logistical force.

  • John playing Ziggy? "...I gave him pills to make him talk, and find out what he's like..." Hil-larious to hear him put it this way, haha.

  • I enjoyed this!

  • some of the eerie music is overdone.

  • The book and video clips this documentary was based upon, by the late Debbie Geller, were masterpieces. I take serious issue, however, with the method in which it all was made into a 2-part BBC feature. The soundtrack and background noises are often pathetically inappropriate and sometimes annoyingly overwhelm the dialogue. The floaty, overly-closeup Brian faces interspersed here and there appear to be nothing less than a stupidly amateurish failed attempt at "setting the mood." (cont...)

  • Unlike the book, this film succeeds only in making us feel sorry for a multi-character personality who actually was, most of the time, very upbeat and funny.

Don't get me wrong; I am forever grateful for the clips and interviews contained in this video. I only wish it was produced in a much, much different manner. I feel the Bafta Award was more to the credit of Debbie Geller's research than the BBC Arena production of her materials. Just keep that in mind whilst watching, please.

  • Thanks you so much for sharing this documentary. I cried most the way through it. But such wonderful footage.
