I want it --always loved these bird looking thunderbirds american styling in the sixtys to my mind was far out space like and even rocket looking cars --cause of the space program maybe their minds were dialed in to these designs.
@crystalcraftsman The interiors of these cars alone outmatched any other interior design of those days. Dash, door panels, and even the back seats were very SASSY! And a 428 in this one? HHHHoooolllllyy SHiiiittt!!
@StephenB58 They're all slightly different, you can tell a 66 and a 65 by the front bumper, the 66 has more of a regular bumper that's underneath the grill, the 65 and 64 have bumpers that conform to the shape of the top of the grill
My dad has the same car green with white vinyl 66 Town Landau with a 428. I got to show him this video i love the sound of the exhaust the car looks good in white
Astounding car -- please -- ANYONE, post VIDs on Thunderbird"s glorious Apollo series cars and the Principality de Monaco series; come on guys & gals. These eras' Thunderbirds are foolishly under-rated; they are glorious manifestations of USA's most exuberant zenith, and now sunset past -- they need to be resurrected; EXPIATION! LOL
Car sure looks like a 66 to me by the roofline especially and the lack of front fender side chrome. Also too unless it was put in there the 428 was also a 1966 option for the 1st time in Thunderbird. Great video of the car and really like the fact you got the signal/tailights working also. Always liked that trick on those and the Mustang California Specials.

What a great design: tight, muscular, elegant... all at the same time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was 1966 the sole year for the 428? I believe it was even nicknamed the "Mightybird".

Beautiful! And yeah, I still think the sequential turn signals rock (kudo's to Ford for bringing them back on the 2010 'Stang). Thanks for posting.

It's on my short list of the most beautiful cars ever produced. That goes for the interior and exterior as well.
