Hey Steve, Sad to hear you and the boys need a break but I know what ya mean! I'm just now( its been over a year since my last QSO) able to start building another rig and I have a new interest in the hobby and some better health. I hope to hear from you and the boys sometime soon! Great Vid BTW! 73
I tend to do nothing but ham radio and at times I do need a break as you say to chop wood, think and walk my daft dog. You have shared a lot now its time to be lil selfish, you deserve it
Just wanted to let you know I like your videos. Please keep them comming. I am a Tech class and going to take my general in a few weeks. I took my tech with use of a podcast. General is a bit different. 73's KF5CVP
Steve, I love your videos as I said before. Peanut & Roosters are a couple of 'elmers' to me after watching you guys for last couple of years. I still hope to QSO with you one day.
Thanks for all the great videos Rooster & Peanut.. oh yeah, and Steve. I should really get my act together and get my CW up to speed! 73 and thanks for the inspiration. Hope to meet you on air some day. 73 - David - M0ZLI
I look forward to your return. Your videos along with a few others have encouraged me to get off my butt and try some DX. I am going to start slow with 6m and 10m but after I upgrade to general I hope to stay on 20m. Hope to talk with you one day. KB1LID
Nice video. I kinda like things that end. The Office (british version) had the sense to not continue forever. Movies end, the Mona Lisa--was painted once. Cheers, Steve.
Always enjoyable Steve. Ice fishing is time well spent too! So is (as I've discovered) geocaching. Wonder if R&P would watch the tip-ups? I had an old bassett mix that used to watch bobbers and whine when they went down. He was my fishn' pal for a lot of years :) 73 and CU on the bands - Scott N0AR
Said it before, will say it again... your home-made videos are some of the best on youtube. I truly believe you are helping to breathe (more!) life into ham radio. Enjoy your break! 73 - KD5NSD
Man, I check YouTube EVERY day with fingers crossed for a new goathiker video. I'll miss them but hopefully warm spring weather will bring new adventures. Thanks for all the fun videos, Steve.
Steve, first congratulations on a fine "last" video. Take the needed break, re-invent yourself into whatever comes next. You're an inspiration to me and I know to many others, too.
You are part of the reason I got my ham ticket! I am currently shopping for camping gear and going to begin taking my 4 year old son outdoors. Thanks for your inspiration and I hope to talk with you on the air. Look forward to you videos in the future.
Nice contacts. :D I'm still waiting to get my license and callsign from the FCC. Its been over a week, but then again it is the holiday season. Anyone have any ideas when I might get it? I got it on Friday the 19th.
I'm planning to do some XC-ski this year also, there's a (soon to be published) SOTA summit near here which is only accessible via XC-ski trail, so there's my motivation for learning to "ski uphill".
SOTA is good practice for ice fishing... if you can sit still on a mountain top in the wind and cold for hours without developing pneumonia, then sitting in an ice shack is a walk in the park.
Great Video as always Steve! Bravo Bravo! US SOTA day was great! I didnt have much time on my summit due to the length of travel required to get in and out, but for that hour, it was a nonstop pile up! Felt great. Enjoy the break.
I just wanted to say a heartfelt, Thank You! to you and the young Goats :)
It was you & the goats got me working QRP Im in a wheelchair these days vids even got my XYL interested in Ham too.
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas and get some time off but also hope one day in the not two distant future you are back at it again.
Would agree if you make this series for sale I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Sorry about back to back comments but I have an idea. Maybe you could package these videos and add some content that never aired. Or maybe you could do a best of with new commentary. Then make it available for sale on DVD and downloadable on I Tunes. I know I would purchase it and I'm sure you could pick up alot of goat feed for the boys.
These videos are awesome and inspiring Steve. I so hope you can get re-inspired to do more at some point. It's been fun watching you and the boys play as well as seeing your video editing skills go from great to awesome. Either way, thank you all so much. Hope to see you three on the air soon. Best 73 for now. Tim KB2RMC
