In contrary to the sparsity of terms Wittgenstein commended us to use in our either daily or scientific discourses, the contemporary world is the exact opposite of what he was trying to tell us. My comment hereby is one such brittle example. :)
@zarkoff45 the fact that the locality were the thoughts are produced does not mean that the thoughts ARE there. It would be like finding the locality in the brain that produces movements of the arms and saying that the movements of the arms ARE in that locality of the brain. Finding the active location of the brain when someone is happy means that happines IS there? this is taking literally a metaphor." the water is in the glass" is only a metaphor for the "the thought is the brain".
@zarkoff45 And if those fMRI junkies knew their Wittgenstein well enough, they'd realize they're chasing linguistic phantoms in most of their studies. Not to discourage the research itself, but the neuroscientific community ought to be embarrassed at the way its most prominent researchers commit continuous non sequiturs and backwards directions of evidentiary fit when they interpret their results.

Today we actually have brain scans, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and fMRI, that can watch where thoughts are happening in the brain.
The metaphor is now real.

@SomewhatStaid
Wittgenstein would apparently think that Searle's Chinese Room could be as conscious as you are.
