2.2 s10s are slow. 4.3s can be a little monster. the only small block V6 and 350 sbc parts can be changed to the 4.3. s10s are not slow vehicles unless you have a 2.2
Uh. I could pretend my car is fast too if I started it out in a different gear and had a rolling start... it's not fast. It's the same as any other S10. I've driven them, they're slow, not that it's a bad thing, they're made for a gas mileage truck, not a racing truck. My Regal had a 3.8 and should have ran pretty damn well but it didn't; I didn't cheat and start out and 10 and say it was fast. My car was slow and I knew it, no shame in that, it's better than pretending.

my 98 s10 2.2l is much faster than that but ur on the right track if u change the cam thats a big help and there is a turbo out there thats very affordable it mounts under the truck wit the exhaust i get just about 10 psi and i run the 1/4 in 12.6

And yes you can turbo these engines but how many people do you know that supe up a 2.2L s10?I'll tell you little to none. Most stock 2.2L s10s cant even break the 10 sec mark.
2.2 s10 motor, 2 valve head, pushrods, 5k rev limiter. lotus 1.8 double over head cam, vvt, 4 valve head, 9k rev limiter....yep there the same. Probably like the evo 4 banger too. And people dont do it becuase there is no point in trying to make a 2.2 move quick, everything about them is commuter motor not hot rod.
