Hahaha, your a moron. You think we're gonna take someone seriously when they ride a low rider bike, you guys aren't even considered bikers, your wannabe's who can't afford a real chopper. Critical Mass lost their way, Critical Manners is trying to recover what ever is left from their original message. Grow up.
I'm undecided on my opinion on helmets. I *feel* safer with one, but I read mixed statistics on their effectiveness, plus the personal choice issue. I'm hoping biking becomes really popular in Canada then the helmet question isn't so important, like in the Netherlands where they bike way more than us in Canada, yet don't wear helmets and have fewer injuries!
Looks boring :P joke....I wonder if all critical mass rides were like this if they'd accomplish more. I don't think helmets should be mandatory. I wear one, but research doesn' really back up that they help that much.
I think the reason they want mandatory helmets at the ride is because every time there is an article in the local news about bikes, the public's reaction includes many comments along the line of "no respect for bikers until they all wear helmets!!" and "the police need to do their JOBS and ticket every cyclist without a helmet!!"
(helmets are required by law here, but enforcement is sometimes perceived to be rare)
what happens if you guys get cut off at a red light?
will the other wait up ahead?

@GMSamuelRhine Nope, the riders who got through the green light keep going, so the ride spread out quite a lot.

ah, helmets aren't required by law here, that's why I didn't think they should be mandatory.
I do wear one though, but respect the right not to.
