I got mine upgraded so i have the 1920 by 1200 resolution and i have got to tell you i laugh my ass off when anyone comes to my house with a laptop and cant read words on the screen or watches movies in awful quality this res is the best

Playing FPS in Afghanistan... seems like you'd want to play something a little more chill in a place where walking to the market is a real life FPS.

lol "modern wafare 2" AFGHANISTAN!!...you start the game by doing a wk long briefing and finally get to your area in country and sleep all day until u get the 1 rocket a day the taliban try to hit u with..or try the bonus level where u have to refit at a bigger base and try to stomach the fishy tasting pizza hut pizza.. its not a FPS here.. it the game BURGER TIME...lmao

From what I've looked at, the P-7807u is about the same as the P-7805u, except that it is a newer model. They both have 7200RPM, which is good for gaming. So basically the P-7807u is just a newer model, but the specs are about the same on both.

Asus has dropped their new laptops at Best Buy recently as mentioned. The new G51VX (P7350, 15", 4GB DDR2), G71GX-RX05 (P8700, 17", 6GB DDR2), and G71GX-RBBD09 (Q9000, 17", 6GB DDR2) all pack a 1GB 260M GTX but sadly only 1 fan is on the bottom of each of the laptops, so expect some serious high temps. The G71's are currently having problems staying functional once the 260M GTX hits 81+ degrees but Asus says a bios fix is all that is needed & will be put out next week. The Gateway may be better.

Gateway has popped out the 7807u (again) and 7809u and will be in stock soon (7809u sold out in a day). Both have the same specs as the 7805u (even the 1GB DDR3 Geforce 9800M GTS) but have higher CPU's (7805u= P8400, 7807u= P8600, 7809u= P8700). 7807u costs $1099 (no retailer announced yet) and the 7809u costs $1249 (at Fry's and B & J currently). Still a great laptop and you most likely will see higher frames on these 2 new laptops due to the upgraded CPU's. Performance and Price ratio = Great

But it only has 5400RPM, which is a downstep from the P-7805u/P-7807u's 7200RPM. But yeah, I don't get why it's cheaper?

the asus has its new g51v's coming out and gateways is also coming out with thier new line up, a couple of mounths ago gateway had refurb. 7805u so quickly. im on a 7805u right now, but for some reason i wanted the asus, didnt make it to best buy on time, the day i finally got there was the last day they sold it there.........

Only problem is, the 7805u is on it's way out already. The Best Buy website now only sells in at outlet stores ONLY and in limited supply at that (My Best uy's around me no longer sell the model). No online stores is currently selling it either with the exception going out to Ebay. As for the 7808u, it's not sold ANYWHERE, it fell off the face of the earth earlier this month, not even Ebay is selling it...

Gateway plans on dropping their new FX line sometime soon..

I just bought this laptop, but the review was a little limited, as if they were running out of camera battery or something. He should of said that it had 4 GB DDR3 memory, showed other features.... I don't know it seemed too rushed.
