There you go again Bill, picking all those mando chords so nice and clean (not an accidentally muted, mistaken string in the bunch). I've never heard the song, but your delivery is always so soulful that somehow I feel I've heard it somewhere.
Think you'll like this - I was listening to your video in my store and a friend came in and said oh- you're listening to that friend of yours - Bill Kilpatrick!
Keep up the good work - I'm enjoying the NYC songs!
grazie amico, but fun ain't the half of it ... to be 16 years old, at a high school dance in 1960-something ... when this song was much more than charming (or otherwise) nostalgia ...
I have a new electric flat back and a cheap Tatra bowl back (probabaly 1960's) which actually has a lovely tone and a really pretty ornamental thing of indeterminate origin. My problem is chubby fingers and impatience! Having said that I have a comedy medieval song/video to put together and am working on something which will involve guitar balalaika and mandolin when I find time to gt down and finish it!

A very nice rendition, Bill. I've always preferred Mary's version to The Temptations cover.
Leaving a bunch of stars for you, my friend.

Nice chords. Don't hear that kind of progression often enough these days.
