Throughout the Temple, Burners post tokens of their devotion to departed loved ones, all week leading up to sending the Temple away in flames. To the extent that you respect those who are gathered to release what often is intense moral pain: then you truly honor yourself. IMO it is not a matter of etiquette, it is a matter of compassion. I wish you peace, and hope you can join us this year.
That's right everyone, when we burn the temple it is SACRED TIME, so be sure to express your anger and distaste for those who don't do sacred time the same as you! This is your big chance!! Scream and yell at them to "Sit down!" or to "Shut up!" as loud as you can because we all know if we do this DURING sacred time we won't score any bad karma points! Because really, we were just trying to meditate! It's so awesome! Come on folks! It's sacred time! Shun each other! (yes this is total sarcasm)
For me, the fall of the Temple is the moment of symbolic release. I had a missive for a departed loved one, and it would have been disrespectful to her to continue filming at the time the Temple fell. Hope you understand.
That''s what Carthage must have looked like

Is it proper etiquette to be quiet during the burn?

My father's ashes were there, I thought the singers at the end were perfect... he would have loved it... Goodbye daddy... I love you.

I know the people who built the temple; I'm pretty sure they'd say it was everyone's burn.

1) it was their burn to *share*.
2) some lost people ( some during the actual build)
3)those 50 (15 if you dont count fire and rangers) were all crew
4) you build a temple and get back to me,
