  • Mate, thanks for the thought and time you put into the video explaining all that. Learned a lot.

  • It is just like this in Germany in the city. The houses were all on very small lots similar to this!

  • Building the house is very expensive when you go to different countries like Canada, Japan, Philippines, Russia or any where around the world you go to. It will take maybe a year or more year or it depends on your house.

  • I would like to live in that house i like how the driveway is open very lucky for the owners of the house to have that big of a driveway and still have room for a modern house

  • I envy place of sewage disposal manhole of this video, because my house manhole is inside garage.

    ( ´_ゝ`)

  • Two and a half months. Jesus.

  • MY CUZ just built a house in Chiba, looks similar

  • Omg, I just can't believe how much effort you put in making those videos. Amazing. I'm suprised by how small was that piece of land. And here I thought that we don't have a garden (sometning like 150 sqare meters)...

  • Dear Mr. TJC guy, i apologize on behalf on me and that other person who were having an argument on this video because you have probably been spammed with alot of unneccesasry (i know thats spelt wrong but i cba looking it up) crap. thank you and good day :)

  • how long did you have to stand there and film them, to make a 6 min. vid?

  • Thank you for putting in the time to make this video. Thumbs up.

  • Anyway, it's certain that most of houses in Japan are perfect quake proof.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom So, over on Kotaku they play episodes of the Japanese show "Retro Games Master". And, cross promotion aside, if you ever get some time and feel like a road trip of Japan. You should try and find all the old locations for the 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō and film the journey. It would be amazing to see the old path in modern times, I think.

  • @bubzzc0la01 you sound like Japan the only place with natural disaster. America midwest and east coast are constantly flocked with tornadoes and hurricanes.

  • DUDE YOU checked up on this over a couple months. You are Great for following up on this one.

I do have to say for japan This is a really big and nice house.

    cool video!

  • Do houses in Japan have basements or is that not possible because of earthquakes?

  • Why are you interested in Japan

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom

"no offense Mr. TJCDC (ur epic channel name), but i have recently noticed how your videos are getting better and better. I click the like button every video and all of your videos are amazing. I always take interest and get very excited when I see a new video. Don't worry though, I won't miss a single video. Your my favourite Youtuber (in my point of view of course) :P"

-An edited version of WOOF1234567891's comment :)

  • @DeltoraQuestAnimeHD thank you very much for not being a dick to me (unlike the rest of the bastards who replied to me) , i didn't mean to offend anyone in the slightest way but i suppose there are different customs in each country ? and when i said i watch the videos that look interesting in my point of view, i do it to all videos on youtube, i dont have a favourite youtuber and i never hit the dislike button, unless i get 'rick roll'd'

  • @DeltoraQuestAnimeHD How is that edited? You used Your instead of You're. Not to mention the other mistakes...

  • I always enjoy his videos, I think they're all really interesting. I felt bad about the grass getting removed for the construction though.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom i didnt mean to take the piss, i just thought you wanted to know why you were not getting that 1 extra view (from me). but if that is your answer to my question then i guess i will take your advice . . . .

  • It took about two and a half months to build this house you say.

Mr.TJCDC you spent that much time driving by this place just to make a video for us.

    Thank you!

  • I've seen lots of, maybe "normal" houses on the Buying a House in Japan playlist, but you mentioned a half million dollar house in this video, do you have any videos of "high end" houses in Japan?

  • You must take many time to finish making this video!

    great video! thank you. :D

  • For those not interested in converting it, at 80 yen to a dollar this converts to a $285,000 house.

  • Their sewage system sounds a lot like the ones here in The Bahamas. It is not so bad as long as you remember to get it pumped out regularly. If you don't... well... I try not to think about that.

  • It's not just the Japanese that want less land, i know alot of Chinese people that said that they wanted a big house but small or no backyard or front yard.

  • Thank you for your good reporting, as always.

  • Is there a reason houses in japan are built without the same insulation standards as the west? There are parts of America that have similar climate to much of Japan but here we focus more on building the house to withstand the climate and save on heating and cooling bills in the future where Japan seems to do the opposite at the cost of comfort and long term expense.

  • the house looks cute

  • @WOOF1234567891 you know how selfish you sound? your not the only person that watches this video

  • @WOOF1234567891 My interest in people's videos wax and wane often. Just come back later. Or not.

  • @WOOF1234567891 Yo I'm interested as to why you felt the need to express your dislike of the videos 300 videos after you lost interest i them, also by stating ''i'll stick around" are you implying that without your support the channel will collapse, you know there are other Japanese themed channels on YT perhaps you could spare us the arrogant comments.

  • @WOOF1234567891 No offense Mr. BowWow#s (Your name shortened) but I have recently taken no interest in people whining about things done for them as a kind service (I usually choose not to chastise them), I mean JapanChannel does make money off his videos, but his effort and helpfulness is just not comparable to this reward :/ I don't find your disrespect interesting in any way for some reason... don't worry though, I'm sure this won't offend him... he is a nice guy so, he won't worry about it...

  • @DemonicDerek78 my other message was directed to the guy who makes these videos, NOT YOU, so why the hell are you replying to me ? you and the rest of the trolls can 'thumb down' my comment all you want that DOESN'T make my opinion wrong or disrespectful, even though i was trying my best just to tell him why he has not been getting that '1 extra view' on his videos lately, so EXCUSE ME for doing what a subscriber from his first 100th video is supposed to do (comment on a video)

  • @WOOF1234567891 -.-'... Glad you took that well. Have a nice day!

  • @WOOF1234567891 Wow, I didn't realize you were the only one following his Channel. I didn't realize that all of his videos had to please you and you only.....hmm.

  • @sorasgirl0 what is your problem you trolling peice of shit ? again, my comment was not directed to you, so WHY do you feel the need to reply to my comment ? are you mentally disabled ? i did NOT imply nor say that every video had to please me and i did NOT write in the slightest way possible how he could IMPROVE the videos (which would mean the vids had to please me) BUT I DIDNT WRITE THAT, so please gtfo you unintelligent thing

  • @WOOF1234567891 Let's see, I'm the unintelligent one, yet you're the one typing like a crackhead? Okay lol. And I'm not trolling; I was giving you my opinion on something you gave YOUR opinion on. That's it. So why don't you stop cussing so much and make a REAL point? Cussing doesn't intimidate me; just let's me know what sort of mentality (or lack of mentality) you have. By the way, when you type "I", in that context, it's supposed to be capitalized...hmmm.

  • @sorasgirl0 if you dont know how youtube works, i shall explain. what you do is you comment on your thoughts / opinions that relate to the owner of / the videos. so that is exactly what i did. Also, i did NOT ask for anybody elses opinion ESPECIALLY NOT YOURS. Ok let me quote my 'point' since that your so unintelligent you can't read. 'WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO REPLY TO A COMMENT THAT WAS NEVER DIRECTED TO YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE ?' and dont bring up the fact about what i wrote in my comment.

  • @WOOF1234567891 If I'm not supposed to give you my opinions on any of your comments, I do wonder why there is a REPLY button there. :/ Also, I can't read? I'm just typing random letters together to reply to a stupid bundle of words (well, that part's true) I'm going to stop replying, because I really don't care much (even though I think it's hilarious how railed up your getting over a Youtube comment lol) so say whatever you want. Just letting you know, I can comment any way, shape oops! see pt2

  • @sorasgirl0 the yeah ok i agree with you about the unwanted opinion and the reply button fact and i am sorry for cussing you and hurting your feelings. For the last time all i ask is why you felt the need to reply to my comment ? also, the thing that i (and you should) found funny was how you wrote 'I'm going to stop replying', yet you sent me 4 messages LMAO. and i feel alot better now knowing your gonna read this and not reply to try and act like your better, coz ur 'that type of troll' ;)

  • @WOOF1234567891 OR form. I can do this, because I am giving you an unwanted opinion, just as you gave TJC an unwanted opinion. Frankly, it doesn't matter if you didn't think it was my business; because if I can see your comment and feel the need to reply, I can, because there's a REPLY button for a reason. Unlike you, I'm not much for insulting strangers just cause I'm mad that "ooo somebody said something mean to me!" so I won't call you "unintelligent" even though you sure are acting like it.

  • @WOOF1234567891 And lastly, try NOT being by far the biggest hypocrite imaginable (in MY opinion), then I might take you a bit more seriously. Try reading over what you wrote and apply it to the situation....what you said is just hilarious lol. Anyways, I'll just delete whatever you reply to me in my inbox; I'm an adult and I will turn the other cheek (ass cheek to be specific) and leave you to be a little child who's learned a few cuss words from mom and dad. :) Good thing school's just around

  • @WOOF1234567891 the corner. Trust me, you need to learn a LOT.

  • no basement i figure!

  • @ZOOWYE basements are very expensive to earthquake-resist.

  • wow such a dinky lot. I guess you get used to planning houses on odd sized plots of land like this.

    thank you! and nice video!

  • I really hope to be able to afford something like this someday.. I know I'll probably inevitably be stuck in an apartment, but... Always shoot for the stars, ne?

  • How is Japan doing? Hoping all is well

    -Mike

  • Thank you. Very interesting.

  • wow XD

  • Why not build the house in a triangle shape, and then make a basement or even an additional sub basement. Seems like no one ever exploits you can build down.

  • @TheLifePerfect less that but basements are expensive.

  • @DemonicDerek78 I dunno, in an earthquake prone area I think I'd rather have a basement than a second story and I'd suppose if insurance companies weren't totally staffed by monkeys they'd appreciate it too.

  • looks good :D, bigger than my house. xD

  • Thank you for the video Can forigner own a land or build a house in Japan and say is there property?

If you have cover this please tell me where i can find the video.

  • @gohanDaniel1

That would be the "buying a house in Japan" playlist......

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom What about construction companies? I assume there are big ones but what about smaller contractors who employ maybe themselves and one other person, does that exist?

  • @gohanDaniel1 I bet you didn't even try to find it on his channel... As if the "buying a house in Japan" playlist wouldn't be obvious enough.

  • @Shainingusutaru i'm happy that you care about what i do thank you for caring

  • Nice house!

  • awesome video....house looks huge....for a small house.

  • beautiful house... o.o

  • Maybe no garage since I thought, ( correct me if I am wrong ) thought in Japan your car could only have so many miles on it before they have to trade it in??

  • Thanks for the great effort to make this video.

  • How common is a basement in Japan??

  • Wow. How long where you stood there?!

  • Maybe you answered this already, but may I ask what prefecture you live in?

  • @TokyoNerd Aichi, home of Toyota

  • @109mytiger lol. Thank you.

  • nice timelapse there!

  • good job on the video, filming it in different stages. how long did it take to build? if you did say so then i missed that.

  • I really enjoyed this video. seeing the different stages of the house being built was very interesting.

  • are studs in walls placed every 16 inches like they are in most western countries? that could be extremely useful information! drilling holes in the wall before realizing you had an incompetent builder (in western countries, obviously if things are done differently there its no big deal) is no fun!

  • Comment removed

  • how many time it take them to build a house?

  • I would also believe a sewage leakage would kinda stink after something major like a earthquake or something. :S

  • Considering how busy Japan business is, I believe they think a carport would be a waste of time when it comes to heading off to work. I don't know though, just a theory of why all if not, most houses there don't have one.

  • @TheGarcia350 Mostly spacial concerns, in the more rural areas they are more common.

  • They had such a nice lawn before.

  • Yeah, I could never live in Japan. I just can't get used to their houses. I'm a spoiled American that is used to both front and back yards and still having large rooms in the house.

  • Do houses in Japan have basements?

  • @tdakiller True, they do build for sway and shock. But thin pine-boards are not going to resist a hunk of metal and plastic traveling at 100kph.

  • 290.000$ for a house thats surrounded by streets? hahaha yea sure.. who ever wants to life there.. good luck!

  • The house looks nice. Is it rare to have room for 2 cars and a bit of space to put like a table and stuff? Also what about a small back yard?

  • You'd feint at how fast and how big they build new houses in my Development where I live. I'm talking 3700 square feet houses in roughly a month.

  • Like for a house built in 6:17.

  • For the car port, I'm guessing since most things have to be new, people switch out enough that the weather doesn't make too much damage until the old car gets traded in. It's not like how it is here in the US where you can see cars from 1980 and earlier.

  • Thankyou for taking the time to go back again and again just for us. we appreciate it and ty your hard work and time.

  • I would buy lots of pretty potted plants and arrange them beautifully on that concrete :D

    <--- is girl

  • I'm telling you man make your self a ring tone. when it rings you'll hear.

    "HAY GUYS."

and when you hang up. "More phone calls, coming soon."

  • @xSHAD0WENx Think that maybe i can get a copy of that? XD

  • @xSHAD0WENx I'd pay for that ring tone. Seriously.

  • @xSHAD0WENx brilliant! If I'm not lazy I'll do it for skype

  • @xSHAD0WENx Please get him to do this!

  • "Hey guys...." I can't get enough of that line. :)

  • 290 000 dollars would be just the land when you buy it in switzerland^^

  • JAPAN: fastest house building EVER !

  • its bigger than my home...nice

  • Can those guys come build me a house in America? ^_^

  • I wouldn't sleep at night for fear of a car careening off the road into my flimsy little house.

  • I'd love to have a house like that. I hate gardening anyway. Besides, this is more then big enough for me alone, but also for any family plans I reckon.

  • They Build a House in 6 Minutes!

  • i would like to see some japan nightlife.

  • i thought you stood out there from start to finish

  • very well thought video, good planning!

  • Smash that like button!

  • It's not TSUBO it's JOU...tatami mats

  • Thanks for the information. You are helping people who are interesting in buying a house in Japan!

  • it is your future house?

  • What a lovely looking house. o:

And this video must have taken a long time to finish in the end. xD

  • Nice info.

  • you should show a video or the temporary houses...

  • Did they know you were doing this?

  • Awesome video! Origato gasemasu! The effort associated with the time lapse is very much appreciated!

    ビデオのために非常に感謝

  • Yesterday I got interveiwed by a jornalist because of cosplay and such, she asked me if there was more of Japan than just anime/manga I liked and I said what else I liked about it(almost EVERYTHING) and then she asked me how I got to know more about japan and then I just said "TheJapanChannelDcom on Youtube, he takes care of every subject you can image about Japan and it is so much info to get from the various of playlists" X3 Thank you so much 8D

  • @Ulvejenta Yeah I do the same thing. When someone asks me about japan I refer them to this channel. This guy is awesome!

  • Wow, thanks for following through the process of building a home! So I assume parking on the street is not allowed, thus they need the small area for parking? Otherwise, they could have more space for the house. Myself, I'd turn that concrete into a flower garden/gravel area for a car...but to each their own.

  • i bet the fact that the material are light and flimsy means it flexes and isnt as likely to fall over and crush you liike a good old brick home :) thanks for the vid boss!

  • Awesome! This is the best video in a few last months! :)

  • Every one of your videos has at least 1 dislike...I think RWJ is stalking you and disliking all your videos lol

  • I would imagine being "flimsy" is a plus, wood and plastic would flex much better then concrete and absorb the shock of any earth quakes.

  • Small. No room for Upa Rupa I think.

  • @piesior Haha yeah gotta have a Upa Rupa!! I really like those. I really enjoyed this video. Really is amazing to watch people build a house. I used to live across the road from a house being built and watched go all the way to completion.

  • I like that house.

  • "buying a house in japan" is my fav playlist, keep those houses coming ;)

guys dont forget to "like" it.

  • @Egizas

    Thank you!

And yes.. some of the nicest people in the world hit that "LIKE" button!!

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom are brick house common there aswell? or is it mostly wood?

  • @Egizas tiesa sakai :)

  • i understand property value differs greatly depending on where you are,but i just couldnt see paying that much for something that small and be spitting distance from the road.

id be nervous someone would run their car into it.

  • You know, out of every house video I have seen on your channel, all housing shown has been of appartments and single family homes, so I was wondering, why dont you show off some row/town/terraced houses, surely with such pricey land they must be popular, and with every country and region they seem to be uniquely designed. So if it is not too much may you please consider suggestion?

  • great video

  • the house is a bit over priced. i bet it cost a quarter to build it.

the tanks are called septic tanks.

    house looks nice.

  • One of my Japanese Skype friends is building a house,

    thanks for the info

  • Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

  • Do houses like this require a lot of maintenance?

  • 280,000 for that house, and you dont even get a real yard. Crazy.

  • the house looks pretty nice though (:

  • 2nd
