30DC Day 08 - Introducing Traffic Bug

I only thought it fair to post an update to my previous comment. The site was attacked by a hacker and was flagged by Firefox. After a while I was able to get it going, with the help of Traffic Bug's support team. They were very responsive and eager to help. Too early to report any results, though.

I went to the web site and Firefox is reporting it as an attack site. Anyone know what is happening, or if this is even legit?

Traffic bug does work... The problem is, is that people are expecting far too much from it when in reality it's not possible. Does it create backlinks to site quickly? No it doesn't... Does it index your site quickly and get it ranked? indeed it does...

Make no mistake guys, traffic bug or any other tool isn't a replacement for the manual back linking methods which we have to do, but for quick indexing and ranking, it's ideal...

I'm very disappointed that Ed took this kind of service in 30DC. These kind of automated programs are always short lived. Google is MUCH smarter than you think and eventually bookmarking sites will disable your accounts. Waste of time, don't do it.

i just found out about traffic bug, read the website and got excited about it. However, after looking at lots of forums and reviews, the only positive feedback is coming from affiliates selling the program. Virtually all reviews from people using it are saying after 1 month of using it there is no evidence to suggest it is doing anything of benefit. There is no evidence that any backlinks are actually being created.

Traffic Bug gets your site and new content indexed quicker not build back links. Back links come later after google indexes the directories Traffic Bug has submitted to. You want instant results go make some sea monkeys

1) Why the monthly, recurring fee? I get that it's supposed to do a lot, and that a one-time fee would be .. what? .. like 10 times as much. But what if I want to promote just one web site? How long does it take to do it's thing .. days, weeks, months? If I don't intend to promote other sites with it, why should I keep paying for it .. after it's finished doing it's thing ... however long that takes?!

2) Can I promote other pages than a 'Home' page?

Their web site looks like it was thrown up in haste. I hope that's not a sign of how the service performs.

And what's with the copy written on the site?

An example:

Try mixing things up. When you are submitting "stupid/lame" URL's to Traffic-Bug use the "LOW" aggression setting.

"Stupid/lame?" Sounds like a 15 year old wrote that.

In addition, I have yet to get any backlinks and it's been over a week since I started adding sites.

Trying to get Traffic-Bug to be a one time fee like Market Samurai doesn't make any since. These are two totally different tools and the constant up-keep required for a tool like Traffic-Bug is MASSIVE.

To up-keep bookmarking accounts, code changes at 1,000+ directories, over 2k IP rental each month, etc.

It's just not feasible to do a one time charge as you can imagine. The price would have to be in the hundreds. However the price we have lowered the software to just for you guys is crazy

Pricey? Traffic-Bug only charges $20 per month for something that will save me a whole day's work! Who would rather work a full day and save $20? I'd rather spend my time developing my site's content than doing the submissions manually.

All of you newbies need to quit complaining about the prices. It's FREE!!!! this is by far the best free training on the internet, besides that 30dc never said you have to buy a product for this to work, it's just easier and faster. I still submit my posts to bookmarking sites manually as well. It's work, Nobody's going to do it for you.

but the simple fact is people use to pay $120 for just one URL to be submitted to the same number of directories Traffic-Bug can submit to. Not to mention all the other features. Plus we don't even limit the number of sites you can submit to.

To do the same things Traffic-Bug does means you would be working for roughly .50 cents per hour!!

One of the cheapest IM tools on the net to date!

Quite pricey at USD19 a mth. As a newbie all these little payments are adding up - WPD, Market Samurai, traffic bug .......what else coming along - we'll need to prioritize spending. If it is USD19 a year or even USD25 a year I can still consider. With time when my site earns I can afford to consider paying more for support or have to painfully do the job myself as the poor entrepreneur.

Mr. Magnet09, Traffic-Bug doesn't do a bunch of directory submissions all at once. You are very right it would look massively like spam if we did that.

With Traffic-Bug you simply set and forget and directory submissions will pour in naturally over time.

It does say indirectly that it is $19.97 / month - lowered for 30DC. I won't mind paying monthly fee IF THEY KEEP UPDATING THE SOFTWARE CONTINUALLY.

Social sites etc. change daily, and a small change in the site TB is posting, TB will simply not work. So constant updates are a must, and I ask TB to give us this guarantee.

Mind you, It will save you TON of time though if it works as they are saying.

Could you please be so kind as to follow through with your word when you say you 'are always here to help', by answering other people's inquiries, whether Traffic Bug, is a one-tine fee, or is a monthly subscription. I I'm guessing it's the latter, but if it is indeed a one-time fee, then I'm sure you'll be getting many more customers - like another poster said, it'll be nice if you followed in the footsteps of the Mkt Sam. developers.

I signed up and found that the page said I would get a 7 day trial. Nonetheless after the initial sign up I did not get moved to your training wizard, but instead ended up on a page with a little code on the top. I left it alone and nothing changed. I tried logging back in but it doesn't recognize me.

I'm hoping they take a clue from Market Samurai last year and make it a reasonable one-time charge. I won't sign up for any monthly subscriptions - over the long haul you end up paying hundreds or thousands. MS was a great price I was happy to pay. Let's do that again?

There is a published price of $24.97, but it doesn't say if this is the full purchase price or per month. My guess would be it's a monthly subscription.
