I read the book and was sobbing like a baby by the end, watched the movie and I cried at the end...hell! I cried for about 20 min after the credits! I do t know why I watched this clip. I'm crying and hugging my dogs.

It's been with all our lives. We had to put her down because of liver cancer. It touched a nerve. My brother, 23 now, doesn't like to talk about it and shut himself in his room for 3 days. We can't watch this movie. We just can't.
When I saw this I had to go hug my dog and the video was still playing with the music and I cried into his fur and then he just hugs back and then I burst down crying even more.

Like I had recently lost a pet so I related massively to what I was seeing on screen. And it is like crying normally, you can hold it in and hold it in until the lump in your throat is going to choke you and for me it just all came at once. I was crying in the cinema. But the biggest thing was that I didn't care. It just felt so good to cry!

A couple months ago, my mom had to put down my English bulldog because she was suffering so much from her cancer. She had a tumor on her back that grew so large, she could hardly walk and it was causing her so much pain that my mom could hear her in the garage. I didn't even get to say goodbye to her and I took care of her for a long time...even though at times, she was a pain, I loved her and to me she was a great dog. She may be gone but she will still be in my heart and in my memories. <3
No matter how many times I watch this...I cannot stop crying. Losing pets is harder than losing a loved one...especially if this pet was...heh...the worlds worst dog..it turns out...

@Shelbz13694 That's how it was for my childhood beagle, Kasey. She had progressive cancer and after a long time of fighting it and suffering, the vet agreed we needed to let her go. I had her from the ages of 7 to 20. Even though she passed in the most peaceful of ways with the family she loved, I have never cried more in my entire life.

Her spinal problems got so bad she couldn't even get up off of her side let alone walk and we made the difficult decision to put her to sleep. But she lived a long and happy 18 years with my family, and we'll always remember her.

Most guys who cry to this (in my opinion) is because when they were a little kid they had a dog that meant the world to them.

Almost ever dog/horse movie is sad. Heck, almost every movie where an animal is the central character is sad.

I'm already crying after 2 seconds. Just that innocent, trusting, loving and amazing look that dogs give you before they even know you. The relationship between dog and human is by far the closest separate species bond. No animal will ever love you like a dog will, and it's everlasting, unconditional love. We may only have them for a short time (relative to the length of our lives) but the memories remain for a lifetime.

my dog was put to sleep over the summer, she was my very fist dog and i had her since i was 3. she was sick since she was a puppy. alergies, arthritis, 2 knee surgeries. But she was always so happy. And she loved us. And i love her so much. I miss you sandy <3

Wow. I remember first watching this a couple years back and not being able to imagine how hard it would be when I had to put my chocolate lab down. Well, unfortunately, that time is almost here now and I am in complete shock. Seems like just yesterday i was holding her in my arms as a puppy. I can't believe it. I have never been more depressed in my life.

i started crying watching the film when the ending came, and i mean proper full on crying. i have NEVER cried so hard because of a film in my life....but when i lost my dog a few years ago....every film like this just became...so sad...Hachi: A Dog's Story is another film that made me cry as well.
