  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • @liquidbend - It's the Ibanez, Steve Vai Euphoria. I did a few things to make it play a little better but it's a great guitar.

  • @philwisejr HOW MUCH..!!??? THANKS..!!

  • How much does that guitar cost? I heard it is $1,400. oh and GREAT playing by the way!

  • @MotherFudger27 - It was $1200 I think. I got it right when they came out so it's been a while now.

  • $1200 huh? Well that doesn't fit into my $500 budgit. Oh well. Maybe someday

  • I have a $300 Ibanez, it's the best sounding guitar I've ever played. Don't have to spend $1200.

  • I agree, Ibanez has amazing guitars all the way around. I bought my first one used from a kid across the street for $25 and played it for three years and gave it to someone else who wanted to start playing :) This one was a surprise gift from my wife.

  • Hello! I´m stil listening with great pleasure, the notes just flow!!! Stil no time for a new video - with - the fingers on the right hand!

    Beautiful!

  • whats the song name?

And loving that steve vai acoustic man,

I want one myself, but i am poor lol and can't afford anything i want at the moment.

  • The song name is Nanci. Yeah, I love that acoustic too!

  • I really like that guitar dude! I only wish that the audio came in cleaer because from what I can hear, it sounds like a really nice lick!

  • Thanks!! I know, the audio is horrible. I REALLY need to re-record this one with a better camera.

  • Awesome job!!! I love this!

  • Thanks so much!!

  • This is great, and it's a beautiful guitar. What model Ovation is it?

    Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks a lot! The guitar is an Ibanez Steve Vai EP7 Euphoria acoustic/electric. I used to have an Ovation and still wish I hadn't sold it years ago.

  • good job , well played , but the recording nearly cut up my speakers

  • Thanks! I know, the recording is terrible! I really need to re-record this.

  • jus noticed my cousin on here, too funny!

  • nice try!

  • Hello!

Still waiting for your video...and your fingers!

    Friendly denis

  • Thanks! Well, we just had a baby so my guitar time has been a little spotty :) Hopefully more videos soon.

  • i can't find this 'nanci' song anywhere why it is from adrian legg rite? i dunno but this dude inspires me also gives me a sense of pitty i been playing for 3 years n i seen his other videos omg if a god was left behind he would had been the guitar god.

  • I know, Adrian Legg is absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough to see him live a long time ago.

  • Ur incredible m8... just thought id bragg and say that adrian is my uncle ^^

  • Thanks so much! Wow, your uncle? Tell him I'm sorry it's not exactly like his version :)

  • U ought to get his book, Pickin and squintin.. its got loads of his tabs. He sent it to me today, ITS SO GD!

  • I'll look it up today! I didn't know he had a book out. Thanks!

  • Hello!

So so beautiful!!!! Thank you, to write and play such music one has to be beautiful inside too....

Please do as you said and show your fingers!!!

    Thanks you again denis

  • Thank you so much! I'll be working on a new video soon. Hopefully better sound quality too.

  • ...just watch it again! Still so beautiful and flowing, and ... two years have passed.

I'll have to desagree about the meaning of the word : soon!

  • @denisgvs - Thank you, and sorry, I know, I still need to re-record this one... It's the one and three year old girls that take all my time these days :) I even have some of my own songs I'm dying to record and post.

  • Realy beautiful- touched me! Can you give the tuning? Thank you!

  • Thanks a lot! The tuning for Nanci is:

    D-G-D-G-B-E - Capo on the 2nd fret

Just drop the low E and A down a step. That's it.

  • Great song..Adrian Legg is a fantastic player with great big sounding compositions. This is a very nice rendition of Nanci. You should put up the whole song. I too wish there was more Adrian Legg on You Tube, pretty small selection at the moment.

  • Thanks! I know, I wish Adrian had a live DVD out there. Maybe someday...

  • great job...get another clip with both hands, i wanna see some fingerpickin!

  • Thanks! I'm working on a new recording of this one.

  • Excellent! I actually like your sound...ringing, with some reverb - very haunting. Nice phrasing - like to have seen your fingerpicking also! Good work, post more please

  • Thanks so much! I'm still working on some new videos and with better recording and sound.

  • I love that guitar so much, too bad they took it out of production, i like it much better than the EP9

  • I agree. I love playing this one!

  • Adrian Legg is one of my favourite acoustic guitarists and I must say you did extremely well, although the sound was quite poor, but that's not your fault. Very well done! I wish there were some clips of him playing in person here.

  • Thanks! I know, the sound on my camera is horrible. It's actually just a point-and-shoot Nikon camera with the video setting. I wish there were more clips of Adrian Legg too. He's one of my favorites.

  • Could I ask what the name of that song is? Thanks.

  • The song is "Nanci", and it off of his album "Guitar for Mortals"

  • Phil, Thanks for the turn on, both of the song and the artist. I've learnt the piece and it's wonderful to play. I play it on a 12. Thanks for spreading the joy.

  • Thanks! I'm a huge fan and every time I hear Adrian Legg play, I'm full of inspiration!

  • man nice.. that guitar is awesome how much it cost?

  • Thanks! It's the Steve Vai Ibanez EP7 and I think it was just over $1000. I definitely spent some time getting it just the way I like it, but it's a great guitar.

  • Lovely song well played well done. Another fav of mine is burning embers.

  • Thank you!! I love that one too!

  • That was absolutely amazing. Was lucky enough to see Adrian Legg play live, and have to say, close the eyes, and there is no difference.

Keep it up, and we want more Adrian :D

Thank you for learning, perfecting and uploading this song :D

  • Thank you!! I've been working on another one and hope to get it up soon.

  • add more videos man, I like all your stuff

  • Thank you! Hopefully I'll be able to post more soon. I'm trying to get a better camera with better sound.

  • put up some more vids if you can, like your playing

  • dude thank you so much for sharing this, there's only one other video of him. this song is beautiful. great playing too!

  • Thanks so much!

  • Sounds just like it! Love Adrian and if you were to grab your parlor and do a version of La-Giga Anziana, that would be the best. Keep em coming and great playing.

  • Thank you! I'm working on some other videos right now. Trying to figure out another Adrian Legg song

  • Very good. What song is that?

  • Thanks! It's just a little part of one of his songs called "Nanci"

  • Learned by ear? Wow, Im very impressed. Great playing! That song is on the only Adrian album I own. Love it. Would never try to tackle that by ear, I have enough trouble with Vai and Satch heheh. My only complaint is with the recording, it's quite "gainy". Reminds me of old crummy Real Player sounding stuff. See if you can tweak that out for your next stuff to clear it up a bit. Please post more stuff!

  • Thanks! Yeah, the recording is horrible! Actually, it was recorded with my little point and shoot camera. I'd like to get an actual video camera so I can re-record that one.

  • you´re amazing! really amazing, I love it

  • Thank you!

  • excellent, beautiful

  • Thank you!

  • this is awesome video, by far my favouite on youtube :D ive watched this video so many times ive lost count. good work man get some more vids happening :D

  • Thanks so much! I'm working on a couple more videos right now, hopefully they'll be up soon.

  • beautiful work....next time sit a little further back so your picking hand is seen!

  • Thanks! I'm going to re-record that one and I'll sit back a little. I didn't even notice until I was looking at it on the computer.

  • GREAT job! I'm still working on the piece - it's not an easy one. Just a suggestion (again, your playing is excellent) but there is an Adrian Legg tab book out there that can show you a number of the notes/chords that you're still missing and can make the arangement perfect. Still, much better than what I'm able to do with it right now and I've got the book! Well done! :)

  • Thanks! I'd love to get the actual music or the tab for this song. This one I tried to get by ear but I know there are some parts that are wrong. I'd also like to get the whole thing down. Thanks again!

  • Very nice indeed! :) I wish I could do that!

  • Thanks!

  • nice, what other kinda stuff do u play?

  • Thanks. I play whatever really.. I like a lot of different styles.

  • really good mate, this reminds me a lot of Leo Kottke and of course adrian legg, you play it a lot better than msot who claim to be "virtuoso" i aint great on guitar but i can see thats skill :D keep going, and post more vids for me? thanks a lot x

  • Thanks so much! I'll be making some more videos soon.

  • very nice playing matey, you beat the copious amounts of "shredders" on here hands down. i like yer guitar also.

  • Thanks a lot! I wish I had a better video camera.. The sound seems a lot better when I'm in my room.

  • I love this song "Nanci". It's hard to play. Nice job. Turn down the reverb a bit though. Like Adrian, it seems you like the effects a litle heavy.

  • Thanks! I agree, I think I had a little too much reverb. I might try to tone it down and re-record it.

  • Very good. Fantastic sound on the guitar.

  • Thanks!
