  • Wow, nice.

  • DEVO

  • LEGENDS!

  • This is easily the first time I've seen either Bob 1 or Bob 2 talk in an interview. It's good to hear them speak especially Bob 2 here. They need to tell us their views of Devolution too.

  • Without Gerald there Bob2 talks more I love it!!!

  • Devo = Genius...

    Thats all

  • Mainstream black culture, BET, Mtv deeeeevo

  • Spill it!

  • what is the name of each people from left to right and what do they play

  • @fmpyoyoqueen93

    Bob Casale: guitar/keyboards

    Mark Mothersbaugh: lead vocals/keyboards

    Bob Mothersbaugh: guitar

    Josh Freese: drums

Weird that Jerry Casale isn't there. He's always been the spokeman and pretty much the leader of the band.

  • Wow BOB2 talking !!

  • nice to not have jerry yapping

  • wow great to see bob 2 talking

  • Bob2 seems to have filled in for Jerry, but no one can truly fill Jerry's shoes in a taped interview.

Although the early hippies caught wind of what was really going on, they didn't have the ability to distribute their message. That is where Devo came in--to spread the word.

Mutants like "Conservativefloozie" are precisely the reason Devo felt the need to deliver their news!

  • Wait a minute... Why isn't Jerry there?

  • they never seriously claimed to have a big 'new' idea. there is nothing 'socialist' about devo and their music is the polar opposite of hippy. devo's entire image is openly manufactured so i don't see how they can be hypocritical or snobby either.

but don't let facts get in the way of your apparently unceasing quest to ascribe political ideals you don't like to everything else you don't like as a sort of broken insult.

  • @bobzilla211 I know your comment is really old and I kind of missed the boat, but I gotta agree with you. I think all Devo was trying to say was: "Hey, open your eyes, it's not all great" They weren't about tearing down all the walls, they were about empowering people to do that themselves.

  • Yeah, these guys never claimed 2 have a "new idea." The hippies-around B4 DEVO became a name-loosely had the idea already. And say whatever u want to say about it, the idea was & still is true, 2 varying degrees. But the way in which they presented this message (via costumes, prominent use of synths, strange time changes in their music, videos, robotic movements, etc.) were new. They are pioneers in many ways. But they never took themeselves 2 seriously. Tongues were in cheek much of the time.

  • Is Conservativefloozie Sarah Palin? Because you sound as thick as her.

  • @conservativefloozie and like a typical repukelican - you just don't get it. if you weren't able to regurgitate all the crap you get from douchebags like Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, etc. you wouldn't have a fucking thing to say. what a sad little shit you are

  • @conservativefloozie wake up from your utopian dream, you fool. De-evolution is REAL!

  • Hanson was mentioned in a "Big Dirty Farmers" song.

  • Devo is Magic!

  • Holy lord, you've totally missed the point of what they're doing

  • Actually, "Whip It" is supposed to have a "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" message to it. They never made it clear whether this viewpoint was ironic or not.

  • everything they say is positive! How is it negative to wish that everyone would wake up from their robozombie dream.

  • Odd, my impression is that you're the one doing exactly that.

  • Where's Jerry????
