Elizabeth Taylor death... made me discover and find the Classic Hollywood Era tresures, that I didnt know it even existed...from Bette Davis, to the wonderful hit epic Gone With The Wind, that now are 2 of my favrit values from the silver screen! Although Its sad, on the possitive side I am so greatful!
@TOLTECAAZTECA I hate to agree with u but she was a whore, 8 husbands go beyond the limit in conyugal union, besides on she stole eddie fisher from his wife, and began an illicit affair with richard burton while they were both married, so althow she was so rich and famous, and possessed a tremendous beauty she was not happy with her life, and died of a brocken heart.. Any way I still think she was still very pretty. :)
Typical American woman.......Marry once-marry twice, marry three times and fourth and five and six time's ,so she can disguised the fact that only a whore does that.
RIP and condolences...but eh, Liz Taylor never did a thing for me as an actress or a Hollywood beauty. As a matter of fact, I never understood the fascination.
What an ingorant man. Liz's father was not a taylor, he had an Art Gallery in Beverly Hills and that is where a MGM executive saw her and asked her parents to bring her to the studio for a test, as they were looking for an Engish girl for a role in "Lassie Come Home"; Also if she was late for the set of Cleopatra, and se was, there was nothing Joe Mankiewitz could have done, because at the time, she was the most powerful actress in the world and she could get away with anything.
LiquidSwords99 and chemochance: Shut the fuck up. If you want to argue, message each other. Some of us are here to pay respect to a woman who was an incredible actress, personal life be damned. Go flame each other somewhere else.
@Boyninja616 your post makes no sense. I'm "flaming" someone because they don't want people talking about liz taylor. So you flame ME for not letting you talk about liz taylor? I'm not stopping you, i want you to talk. although chemochance would rather you not do it. If chemochance opinion took hold earlier, you wouldn't even know she died. Personal life be damned is right. It's news because people like her work, thanks for fighting for my side of the argument while pretending ur above it.
Elizabeth Taylor was gorgeous. National Velvet is one of my favorite movies. Unfortunately she had a massive downfall (at least I view it as a downfall) but she was an amazing person.
"I did everything I wanted in my life!" and didn't give a damn about the men's life I affected or emotions I hurt, and wallets I raped. Keep admiring skank!
Movies give us a break from the hard realities of life .... a temporary break, but a beak nonetheless.
And, Elizabeth Taylor was one of the very first celebrities to advocate for people with AIDS. She was doing it loooooooong before others jumped on the bandwagon. She lost fans because of it, but she didn't give a shit. As far as her marriages, she was traditional and didn't believe in shacking up. It was a different time, assholes. Give her a break.
@chemochance - if you're so against popular culture, why do you favourite Avril Lavigne and Napolean Dynamite videos, amongst many, many other bands and singers, and clips from TV shows and movies?
(cut and paste) I just wanna inform you that this guy and a slew of other individuals on youtube which I call the Super-Youtubers are dealing in some HIGHLY illegal online activities which results to the individuals online *PRIVACY RIGHTS* will be violated and therefore resulting in GANGSTALKING around their local neighborhoods. Not joking...I'm informing everyone. Follow my digital paper trail.
You've been warned America.
O_O PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW because I sure will.
She was a friend and supporter of Montgomery Clift even when she knew he was gay. Back in those days in the 50's, being gay or even pro-gay came with great social and economic risks.
i am too young to remember what elizabeth taylor looked like when she was young... and I must say she was drop- dead gorgeous. these actresses nwe see today have nothing on her.
Wait why does this matter? Why is a celebrity more important than any other person? Oh I forgot, the media only cries for dead celebrities, not other dead people that actually matter.
@chemochance Elizibeth Taylor was in Giant, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and A Place in the Sun among other classic movies. Why should we praise soldiers for fighting for freedom, but not praise the people who the soldiers fight for. some of those people are the artists that make each country culturally important and worth fighting for. Second of all, we do praise individuals who do ESPECIALLY heroic actions, because caring about each and every soldier's deaths is impractical.
@chemochance cont- also, Taylor did alot to support people who were the victims of AIDS, even before it was culturally acceptable to do so. So she IS a hero. But the thing that bothers me most about your post is how impractical that thought process is, as if caring about Taylors death means no body cares about the deaths of other people. The reason why they care more is because ET is registered in our brains as an aquaintence even if we never met her. it's not cultural, it's biological.
@LiquidSwords99 So donating some of her MASSIVE fortune to helping victims of AIDS makes her a hero? While men and women braving bullets and shells are also heroes? And do you really think that soldiers fight for people like Liz Taylor? No, they fight for each other, and others close to them back at home. I couldn't give a shit if Liz Taylor died while I was in Afghanistan. And how is caring about every soldier that dies 'impractical'? Makes me sick that some one could argue a point like that.
@chemochance it's impractical because it's physically impossible. Literally, the brain is incapable of processing that information that way. Good luck living in magic land. You might as well believe bullets only heal people. Your the one making a judgement, not me. So how am i the ridiculous one? You might as well point out that polic officers aren't hero's compared to soldiers, or that kids shouldn't be allowed to see their fathers as heroes for doing nothing but raising them.
@chemochance also, i just want to say that you're post isn't serving any practical purpose. you're not going to change anything, cause like i said, this isn't a cultural issue it's a biological one. If i cared about every single soldier who died, i would have to cry for the rest of my life. 5 minutes to acknowledge someone famous died isn't grotesque. Telling people that the issues you care about personally are the only ones that matter is. So enjoy being the only right person ever.
@LiquidSwords99 Obviously if you've spent your time arguing with me over this matter means that you care. So don't end your bullshit post with some poorly thought-out shit like 'enjoy being the only right person ever'. That isn't a valid way to win an argument, it's a way people try to get their way out of one. And I'm not saying that you should cry over every dead soldier, only to have respect. Take for example, Michael Jackson. He was a pedophile, and changed his SKIN color, yet people cry...
@chemochance who said i didn't have respect for dead soldiers? Your operating on a false dichotomy, either Elizabeth taylor or them. Instead of the reality. Everyone who cares, cares about both. So your original gripe is over something non-existant.
and no, if you read my two posts i already made my arguent. The end was just pointing out that your position is a know it all one. You claim to care, when really your just trying to attach yourself to a cliche to feel righteous in a sick society
@LiquidSwords99 You are completely wrong. I do care. Why else would I be arguing with you? And it's not 'physically impossible' to have some decency and not call respecting dead men and women 'impractical'. And when did I say that police officers or fathers can't be heroes? I only pointed out that you shouldn't call celebrities heroes just because they gave some money away, which by the way is almost always for publicity. Don't worship celebrities, you'll only end up finding out they're human.
@chemochance she supported aids victims when it was bad for her publicity and her career. vocal support, i have no idea if she donated money or not. I don't worship celebrities i just like the work they do. You're the one who keeps putting words in me, TYT, and every fans mouth. It's news that she died whether you like it or not. News is out of the ordinary, soldiers dying unfortanately isn't. TYT has loads more videos about celebrities more useless than this. Don't know why this offends you.
@chemochance one last thing, i didn't call respecting dead men or women impractical. What i meant to sya was that having a news report like this one everytime one dies is impractical. Even acknowledging the fact that they died in the same way i acknowledge an actresses death is not possible because people die everyday. I haven't seen most of their faces, or heard their voices. The same can't be said for Taylor. Both our brains process info in the same way, so it don't believe ur any different.
@chemochance sorry for the excessive posts. but i just thought of the best way to articulate this. Usually when i start arguing with people i hold a disdain towards them.as the argument goes on, even if our disagreements get worse, i start to see people as more human and i have more understanding of them. Even though i know logically that all peolpe i argue with are fully fleshed people, my brain doesn't register it emotionally until i see more of their personalitiy. apply that to the famous.
@chemochance and the only reason i accuse you of that is because making that gripe in this video specifically is totally innapropriate. if you think that certain people take there love for celebrity too far, then i agree with you. But to claim that anyone here is doing that is just plain wrong. A 5 minute video about her life and death, and a few positive comments about her is normal. People tend to talk about things they are interested in. I'm sick of people pretended it's a moral issue.
@LiquidSwords99 I'm not saying it's a moral issue. Only that people shouldn't look up to celebrities like they do. They act, get over it. People work hard every day of their lives and will never earn as much money in their lifetime than an actor does for one movie. It's also annoying that TYT is doing a video dedicated to Liz Taylor when I'm sure a soldier died today. Don't we get enough of this BS on television already? I don't need to come on TYT to see the exact same crap again.
@chemochance "as much money in their lifetime than an actor does for one movie"
That's capitalism. When you have something that only you possess, people will pay you millions to use it. If we didn't pay people in hollywood in that fashion there would be no big budget movies. So important films like Schindler's list would never exist. But, if you think they're paid excessively i can understand the argument. What i don't understand is what the has to do with me. Worship only describes 2% of fans.
@DeagleBeagle the same goes for anything they report on. The top 100 sexiest men/women and a boatload of other magazine articles. Bottom line, when you are a celebrity you get noticed.
@cheezbawl2003 yeah noticed but I am saying the media is too focused on things that don't matter was my point. An actor may have been in 2 movies you have seen, then people start like worshiping the person, it is just funny how in America that is what happens, and to a usually lesser extent in other countries. I am american btw so I know how it works.
I really stopped paying attention after the words "strong, confident woman" left Ana's mouth.
What sticks out to me about Taylor: "... My breasts are full of love and life. My hips are rounded and well apart. Such women, they say, have sons. " while seducing Caesar... O.o
They didn't put fluoride in the water, drink HFCS & aspartame (the latter breaks down into formaldehyde in the body!), GMO foods, poison the skies with aluminum and barium, etc. back then... If we stopped putting these things in our body, we too could be made in the mold of old (school). ;)
alot of you yanks think that Taylor was American - WRONG!...the fact is she was British..she was born in London England...so horn-outta our people and stick to your 2-bit wannabe's.
all you judgemental mother fuckers need to grow up and get a life its just jealousy that this woman lived a life that will surplus your lifes 100 times. Your all fucking losers and wankers and you should have respect for the dead
@boomshamwow Bro fist! Can you imagine if a man behaved like Liz Taylor. I swear, I can clearly hear the words of condemnation escaping Ana's lips now. What's even worse is I can imagine mangina Cenk co-signing her views, about the terrible promiscuous man.Don't get me wrong I love Cenk most of the time but if he was real he'd tell it like it is and tell Ana that Taylor was a hoe, plain & simple!
Just because some one gets married 8 times doesn't make her a whore. Fucking lots of men are women and never getting married makes you a whore in my book.
I heard her eyes had a tint of purple and she had two rows of eyelashes. How lucky could a girl be? And she also has a lot of freckles or at least when she got older she did; that's what my dad said when he saw her at an airport.
RIP Elizabeth Taylor, one of the finest actresses to ever grace the screen and one of the last true great stars of hollywood's golden age. Despite all the drama and heartache in her life, she live a full, rich and satisifying life and that's the one you want, i hope where ever you are your happy and my heart goes out to your family, friends and fans.
I would trade the 10,000 dead in the Japan earthquake and tsunami to get back Elizabeth Taylor in a heartbeat! Just think about it, how just one person did so much more and had such a bigger, more positive effect on people of the world than 10,000 Japanese. I think the number is much higher than that actually, more like 1 Elizabeth Taylor is worth more than 200 million Japanese and all their offspring. RIP Miss Taylor, you were a wonderful and beautiful person!
@BombJapan I'd disagree with your evaluation of the numbers partly because without the Japanese you wouldn't have a computer to type with, but mostly because I don't believe that a person's success doesn't give him or her any inherent worth above anyone else... but that's just my opinion and I'm aware that you don't give a shit about it.
Bu seriously: Plasma TVs, Computer screens, Cell Phones - you really think her celebrity outweighs all of that and more? Really?
Liz Taylor was fine back in the day. That pic where she's got the bikini top on and resting her head on her hand is one of my favorites in a pervy wankerish kind of way.
@MJPKENT Probably hundreds, but I'm sure when you go the 20 immediate family members of yours will mourn for a few weeks then get over it and forget you. She's immortalized in time.
To all the idiots that are complaining about this video... Where the hell did the confusion come in? Was it the title or did the thumbnail throw you off? Easy solution: Don't click the fucking video.
8 divorces is not something to look up to Ana. In fact, I'd admire someone is able to live through one marriage their entire lives than one who had 8.
@chemochance People used to stay in marriages for life when they shouldnt have , I rather live and love and loose then be constrained to a disastrous marriage. I rather have her life than the life of some bitter old married couple
@MaggieRoara I'm not saying that a woman should stay with a abusive husband. I'm saying that both the man and the woman should do their best to honor their marriage vowels. All marriages have their highs and lows, but if you really loved that person the day you married him or her, you'll try your best to stay with them.
@chemochance Of course that the best case scenario, but u have to realise to wait for this 'magical' love all your life is not realistic in this day and age. It is much better to love the one you are with now. Elizabeth Taylor loved a good deal in her life.
@MaggieRoara Obviously that's true, but I'm still not going to look up to someone who 'loved' 7 different people in their lives. All I'm saying is, at least try to stay with the person you've married. Don't just leave the first time that things don't look as great as they did at first. That's why staying with one person seems better than being married to 7 different ones.
Clicking on a video and typing "who cares" is the same as sitting in a class you're not enrolled in, yelling out "who cares" and then leave the room. It's stupid.
she wasn't all that good. she wore fur and caused suffering to animals and didn't care about it. She has no sympathy from Vegans. She is no better than Michael Vick, if you consider that the animals were murdered for her clothes instead of entertainment.
@DanielManahan You have eaten at least one food in your life that requires petroleum to make, grow or transport. Drilling for petroleum and burning oil leads to environmental disasters, thus, killing off animals and affecting people's livelihood. You may arguably be much worse than anyone who wears real fur, or even Michael Vick. And if you were to tell me you've never consumed any petrol-based food in any point of your life, then you're full of shit :D
Do you believe in equal treatment of women in social situations?
If you answered yes to these, you're a feminist.
Now while it's possible that you might not agree to these, I very much doubt it. Guess what? You're a feminist just like 85% of everyone else in the United States.
You don't actually know what feminism is. Now shut the fuck up and stop pretending you do.
Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).
@Blindeyeseesfar I understand what he thinks he's saying, my point is that he should rethink, because it makes no sense. His whole basis is flawed, if she was on 'welfare' as he says, she would be a COMPLETELY different person, like a trillion things about her life and personality would have to be replaced.
Elizabeth Taylor death... made me discover and find the Classic Hollywood Era tresures, that I didnt know it even existed...from Bette Davis, to the wonderful hit epic Gone With The Wind, that now are 2 of my favrit values from the silver screen!
LiquidSwords99 11 months ago
@DeagleBeagle the same goes for anything they report on. The top 100 sexiest men/women and a boatload of other magazine articles. Bottom line, when you are a celebrity you get noticed.
cheezbawl2003 11 months ago
@cheezbawl2003 yeah noticed but I am saying the media is too focused on things that don't matter was my point. An actor may have been in 2 movies you have seen, then people start like worshiping the person, it is just funny how in America that is what happens, and to a usually lesser extent in other countries. I am american btw so I know how it works.
DeagleBeagle 11 months ago
I really stopped paying attention after the words "strong, confident woman" left Ana's mouth.
What sticks out to me about Taylor: "... My breasts are full of love and life. My hips are rounded and well apart. Such women, they say, have sons. " while seducing Caesar... O.o
Wolfau5 11 months ago
They didn't put fluoride in the water, drink HFCS & aspartame (the latter breaks down into formaldehyde in the body!), GMO foods, poison the skies with aluminum and barium, etc. back then... If we stopped putting these things in our body, we too could be made in the mold of old (school). ;)

boomshamwow 11 months ago 2
@boomshamwow Bro fist! Can you imagine if a man behaved like Liz Taylor. I swear, I can clearly hear the words of condemnation escaping Ana's lips now. What's even worse is I can imagine mangina Cenk co-signing her views, about the terrible promiscuous man.Don't get me wrong I love Cenk most of the time but if he was real he'd tell it like it is and tell Ana that Taylor was a hoe, plain & simple!

I heard her eyes had a tint of purple and she had two rows of eyelashes. How lucky could a girl be? And she also has a lot of freckles or at least when she got older she did; that's what my dad said when he saw her at an airport.

@BombJapan STFU troll, go kill yourself so you can bring back this women.
JustHere1444 11 months ago
@BombJapan I'd disagree with your evaluation of the numbers partly because without the Japanese you wouldn't have a computer to type with, but mostly because I don't believe that a person's success doesn't give him or her any inherent worth above anyone else... but that's just my opinion and I'm aware that you don't give a shit about it.
Bu seriously: Plasma TVs, Computer screens, Cell Phones - you really think her celebrity outweighs all of that and more? Really?

peachdica 11 months ago
8 divorces is not something to look up to Ana. In fact, I'd admire someone is able to live through one marriage their entire lives than one who had 8.
chemochance 11 months ago 31
@chemochance People used to stay in marriages for life when they shouldnt have , I rather live and love and loose then be constrained to a disastrous marriage. I rather have her life than the life of some bitter old married couple
MaggieRoara 11 months ago
@MaggieRoara I'm not saying that a woman should stay with a abusive husband. I'm saying that both the man and the woman should do their best to honor their marriage vowels. All marriages have their highs and lows, but if you really loved that person the day you married him or her, you'll try your best to stay with them.
chemochance 11 months ago
@chemochance Of course that the best case scenario, but u have to realise to wait for this 'magical' love all your life is not realistic in this day and age. It is much better to love the one you are with now. Elizabeth Taylor loved a good deal in her life.
MaggieRoara 11 months ago
@MaggieRoara Obviously that's true, but I'm still not going to look up to someone who 'loved' 7 different people in their lives. All I'm saying is, at least try to stay with the person you've married. Don't just leave the first time that things don't look as great as they did at first. That's why staying with one person seems better than being married to 7 different ones.
chemochance 11 months ago

she wasn't all that good. she wore fur and caused suffering to animals and didn't care about it. She has no sympathy from Vegans. She is no better than Michael Vick, if you consider that the animals were murdered for her clothes instead of entertainment.
DanielManahan 11 months ago
@DanielManahan You have eaten at least one food in your life that requires petroleum to make, grow or transport. Drilling for petroleum and burning oil leads to environmental disasters, thus, killing off animals and affecting people's livelihood. You may arguably be much worse than anyone who wears real fur, or even Michael Vick. And if you were to tell me you've never consumed any petrol-based food in any point of your life, then you're full of shit :D

Ad Hominem fallacy

Feminism exists. Women are deciding their future. It's happening. Deal with it.

fomiz 11 months ago
@fomiz I can end this discussion real quick.
Do you believe in equal rights for women?
Do you believe in equal pay for women?
Do you believe in equal treatment of women in social situations?
If you answered yes to these, you're a feminist.
Now while it's possible that you might not agree to these, I very much doubt it. Guess what? You're a feminist just like 85% of everyone else in the United States.
You don't actually know what feminism is. Now shut the fuck up and stop pretending you do.

Blindeyeseesfar 11 months ago
@Blindeyeseesfar I understand what he thinks he's saying, my point is that he should rethink, because it makes no sense.
