@RaldJaiMe1358 Like he said, it's burning because 60k+ cobblestone an hour is quite a bit. If you wanted to go build with that, and you let it go for about 20minutes, it WILL crash your server. The amount of entities on the world would cause it to crash, and forever be ruined.

Even if this worked without mods, the only time you'd need a cobble generator of this scale is on a server when you're trying to make a huge castle with your faction.

You can never have too much cobblestone, as long as you've got the wood to make chests for it.

I would make thousands of furnaces and build a house out of them.

@TheEpicSpire The pistons in the piston mod will destroy a block when they both push it into eachother (like at 0:53), but the pistons Notch implimented aren't as powerful and dont destroy the blocks. What happens is one side pushes and the other stays put. It's quite dissapointing

Loved the video. Using your design as a springboard, I made something similar with buildcraft. I don't know if your calculations are off, but I made 4 sets of 8 harvesters as well, and I'm only getting a full stack about every 8 seconds. Something doesn't add up, though that doesn't diminish the quality of the video! Favorited!

@bpk428 I thought so - whilst the design has 4 rows of 8 harvesters, they are only being fed by 2 rows of cobble every 2 seconds - thus providing 16 cobble per 2 seconds (and 64 per 8 seconds) So you are receiving the correct amount of cobble with this build.

Just out of interest are you using an older version of minecraft to access the old style pistons mod or have you found a piston patch for later versions? An answer would be greatly appreciated :)

this only ever worked with the piston MOD. it does not work with the vanilla pistons. it is impossible to smash blocks with the REAL minecraft pistons, unfortunately. and making an obsidian generator im sure is one of the reasons why notch doesnt want to be able to smash blocks. makes the game too easy.

@nerferfan Actually there is a bukkit plug in that lets pistons smash blocks. There is aslo a mod that lets pistons smash blocks for single player. This generator is still usable with the right plugin/mod.
