I agree with your opinions on this. I think its awful that most parents literally use their child to live vicariously and also win money for themselves. Now, after watching a few episodes there are a few parents who do the pageant thing in a positive way and do not cover their daughter in makeup. Some of the girls actually enjoy doing it and do have positive attitudes when they win or lose. I think this is something that CAN be done right, but few do.

If the child hates it or the parents are spending the money on pageants instead of food/bills/etc then there's a problem. ._______. Seriously..stop these type of videos. .___. I'm not saying I would put my kids (I don't have kids) in pageants. Just don't judge people that you know nothing about. =]

Jeff I am a Canuck that has a passion for psychology and Sociology.I also watch Doctor Phil.He has done several shows on the subject you are speaking about.

He has a pannel of Doctors and experperts on his staff and his experience of over 35 years in the field.He say's that dressing kids up like adults is " CREEPY " This practise invites sicko's to watch and masterbate or possibly try to abduct these children.

The parents that do this are wacko's that live through their children.

I've never seen the show, and try to stay away from TLC just because most shows on there are boring. I looked up it up on Youtube just out of curiosity, and all I have to say is how down right disgusting it is. Kids are already under enough pressure in a glamour, beauty and commercialism society. That the parents are so fucking stupid that they've been sucked into this world of stupid pageants that the world does not need in the least. What positive effect do they have on the world as a whole?
