Neither of these cars are actually "stock." The Porsche being redone by Dauer and the Viper by Hennessey, but they are technically production cars, so...it's your call. I wonder how many of these cars are halfway decent to drive, though...

I am american and I am proud to have the honor of worlds fastest car but I am also a devoted Veyron fan and will always have the Veyron as my favorite car. I can't say that the SCC handles well or not because there have been VERY few track tests of it but it seems that is was built to do only one thing, go fast.

Umm the SSC....put it on a track and see how it goes against a Veyron. Lambo owned by Audi since it started the Gallardo project so not particularly Italian. Look at the R8 alot of similarities. 193mph-310kmh. It is limited too 180kph on public roads thanks to the gentlemens agreement that Jap Car makers had in the mid 80s or 90s. I forget. But on a racetrack the SatNav turns off the limiter. Im not saying its THE fastest car but being fast in a straight line doesnt mean it will be fast around corners like the SSC. This thing looks like an absolute pig to handle doing its "top speed". Whereas you look at the Veyron. Its has millions spent and thousands of hours doing high speeds.

that limiter is only in effect in japan, every other market has it disabled. and this car has been driven at its top speed and the person doing it says it feels stable and safe. the gtr has a lot of time and engineering put into it to make it stable.

I highly doubt that the SSC is a track demon. Its light and has a shitload of power which generally means oversteer for Africa and is almost impossible to handle. The thing about the SSC is its just a car with an engine bolted into. Where the Veyron has to put up with 5 years of abuse between every service. And does it with ease. There is NO comparason between the two. The Veyron is an engineering masterpiece and no one can dispute this.

Both are useless, they are made to be fast, not useful. I´m studying Car engineering in Munich and can confirm that. SCC is probably faster, than "normal" Veyron, but on the track it can be beaten by anything...It´s light and has powerful engine, but handling is poor(just another American car...) If you would tune Veyron, you can reach 415km/h in good weather conditions..
