Mr Chambers is the Bassists from which all Bassists are judged. The true NO 1. His time is impeccable,unyielding and swings like no other.As Miles was to jazz in general Chambers is to bass.
@countryboyrunning Jimmy Garrison is also worth checking out, I especially like his work on A Love Supreme pt 2, the intro with the bass chords is freaking sweet.

if you like chambers then look up mingus. He will blow your mind even if your a electric bassist. You will enjoy mingus to the fullest extent
