Most studies done show that children have a better chance at life being adopted by a homosexual couple then a straight couple.  I think it's because of the added degree of difficulty and likely also because of bigotry among agencies. The HIV comments only make a better case for marriage. There's a lot of evidence, more importantly there's no reason no to allow them to get married. I myself am straight, but I'll vote in favor of gay marriage every chance I get.
