I saw "Dr. CC" live last Saturday night....A few others were included on the bill, but Clarence Carter kicked ass. He sang this tune along with about 5 others (including "STROKIN", of course). His band was kick ass as was Dr. CC. For an old timer he can still entertain with the best of 'em.

good job. ... Only Clarance Carter did not write "Patches". It was written by General Johnson of the Chairmen of the Board about 1970. I think his original version was also prior to CC's but I'm less sure about that.

find the 2008 live 7-minute version by COTB on youtube. If you can sit alone and quietly listen to that version without a tear then you ain't human.
