  • I couldn't believe what I found on itunes. The album I purchased has some 140 radio ads, many wartime. I guess the latest is from the 70's.

  • Old ads are extremely interesting.

  • Nice view of ads that are in pristine condition. I too would like to find an AK horn speaker for my 20c. The one I have has been broken by the previous owner who fixed it so nobody could. Even if I could get beyond what he ruined the driver is the pot metal version which is cracking and the threads are frozen. I would like to find an AK horn with the bakelite driver.

  • That is a shame about the one you have. Hope you do find good one! I heading out to the flea market now have not seen anything for awhile but you never know. The hunt is a lot of fun. Thanks.

  • That really came out good...in HD all of the text is very clear.

  • Thanks. It is exactly what I wanted, but not with out a struggle. I'm not sure if it was me or YouTube or both. But my usual way of making HD vids started to fail only after it completed uploading. This first one was 345MB, many hours in upload. I tried another MS format 85MB, still failed. Then I configure Premiere ele 7 for FLV and what you see is this file, 15.7MB. Just remarkable, of course it takes a long time to make the file but that OK with me.

  • YouTuber JIM sent me a link to MORE ADS.

I have put this link in the (more info) of this video.

  • @AllAmericanFiveRadio

    Very interesting.

  • Hey Mario

  • You know, I read stories about immegrant Americans who where told by the US government to take their radios into a radio shop and there the band switch would be disabled so they would not receive shortwave. The US government was afraid there was spies in the US who would receive secret short wave messages and instructions.

  • I would not doubt that at all!!

I just got a link to more Radio Ads + other interesting stuff, from Jim. I put the link in the (more info) of this video.

  • @Lockemeister

In Brazil, during the war, Germans and Japonese had their radios confiscated

in the South of Brazil where there is a large colony.

    Best regards,

    mario
