I miss Prue. I LOVE Paige, but imagine the dynamic of having 4 charmed ones? I mean, I know it's the power of 3 and everything...but Paige could've still had her whitelighter abilities and Prue could've had her astral projection and telekinesis ( I like hers better than paige's...)

I love this episode. Barbas is probably my fave Charmed demon, and it was awesome to see him as all-powerful. Did love that Cole was the one to vanquish him, however. :P
poor Cole, he really can't help it, he tries so hard to be good; first he's half demon but the good of his human half overcomes this, then by only trying to help he is tricked into becoming the source, once the source he tries multiple times to resist to stay good, he tries to get rid of the sources powers, and as we see now he is good it is his worst fear to be evil (that's how Barbas got to him) and thanks to the sisters and their lack of faith in his good nature he falls from grace for good

I think that's what my brother was trying to say. Do you remember another episode Barbas was in? The witch that had a fear of burning, or something similar to that, only suppressed her fear and it didn't work. She still died. The witch has to confront the fear. You know?
Actually, that was in episode 1x03, titled "fear me not".
The witch said "I have released all mortal fears, you have no power over me" or something along those lines. But when Barbas read her, he said "You never COULD release your fear of FIRE!" or something like that. She never cast any spell.
Makes sense but there is no fearless spell anyway. Barbas has been around for centuries. If there was a spell like that in would be in the book of shadows.
Well, piper wrote one and it worked. Check out the episodes (2 parts) at the beginning of season 5. Titled ' A witch's tail' it's on youtube, I watched it like 4 or 5 days ago.
It would've worked if it hadn't been for the fact that the spell Piper wrote was for increasing courage which is done by repressing fears. There is a way to break that spell which is to overwhelm the person under the spell with what fear they are repressing. Her spell backfired because fear can't be removed, just repressed. In general, fear can't ever be removed unless one overcomes it.
yeah i know. i hate how they make it seem like your born evil and that you have no choice. being evil is based on someone's choice. the fact that he wants to change and his past actions is hurting him is a step to good. i love the pheobe cole team. i wanted them to stay together.
The thing is, they gave him a chance to be good which stemmed from the time Prue was alive. Once Cole turned evil from absorbing the Hollow, they could no longer trust them for he back stabbed all of them. He couldn't be trusted and when he came back from the demonic wasteland with new powers, this was a "clue" that he was going to stay evil so they gave up on him.
no....he took Hollows power to PROTECT them and kill The Source.Look that episode again he is the reason why are they still alive. Sorceries tricked him and he got powers of the Source.He has beaten all that,The Source, Belthazor at the end it was them ,and Fib's love that killed him.They could have found a way to take Barbases powers without getting them back to Cole.They killed him in this episode when they love blow up his last chance to be good and stay with Phoebe .

I love this episode. Barbas is probably my fave Charmed demon, and it was awesome to see him as all-powerful. Did love that Cole was the one to vanquish him, however. :P

Besides for storyline purposes it would make it too easy to beat him.
