@DatingAdviceNew Cheers. I used a Panasonic NV-GS500 - it's old school but the effect should be similar on most camcorders. For camcorder buying advice, go to my channel page, click the link for my website.
On my website hover over the "main articles page" menu button and a list will appear. At the bottom of the list you'll see "buying a camcorder advice" :o)
Hello from Greece - Please, check for a minute my profile, i need views to my new video clip... can you help me, and because is my fisrt video .. leave a comment or like whatever.. thank you!!! I hope to share my video :( Thank you!!
I can do this, I have a massive dark green curtain behind me and the camera, and that shows up BLACK on my video camera, no need for ring lighting, my ceiling light works fine ;) Check out my vlogs for my effect :)
PLEASE!!! make a DIY photo/video equipment building channel, videos such as how you made the ring light and tripod train. I really enjoy those videos and it helps me build wicked equipment for films! Think about it Rick, thanks!
@ottoelperro The jury is still out on the H1 - this is really the first time ive used it properly - sound quality is great, but it's so lightweight, the slightest wobble of the table and it dances around causing the wobble sounds you keep hearing in this video. Might try some blu-tac to stick it down with next :o)
By the way your hair here is a beautiful contrast against the black bg... You look like an angel with desires...lol....♥♪ . Not just your projects, but you yourself are Magic my dear friend, because you're real and full of life and love for people around the world.. Thank you so much for making this Virtual World joyful !!
Well to me it is awesome. I have seen how simple black background screen is. When I eventually appear on TV here in OZ, I will explain how simple it all was. Well you already know. I just need the camera and lamps. But yes, it is so simple.
@NuggetsOfTruth can u use keying with black color?? cuz i know that u can use it only with green and blue!! (ofcurse the logic says thta if u can use it with g&b u can use any other color. but i dont know the results...)
@El23edvin I think that keying with black would be very difficult, since the point of green or blue is that the object left after keying has none of the keyed color in it. However, many objects contain a great deal of black, while it is very easy to find ones without bright green. Therefore, black is not the ideal keying color.
A new channel, sounds intriguing. I've seen you use this in several videos with great effect. So would you say the trick of this to keep the light source close to the subject which would also help prevent the black cloth from accidentally being lit? Do you think back lighting the subject, or in photography terms the hair light, would help or hurt this effect?
@FenderGibsonWashburn Yes the key (no pun intended) is to light the subject not the cloth - and back-lighting works very well and can create sone really good effects.
you are in a blackbox xD

Got couple of desk lights, they are bright. Perhaps would work with those. Will any dark coloured cloth do or does it have to be black?
This must have been how they created the famouse doctor who screen credits in the 1980s.
skbworld2008 1 year ago
@skbworld2008 rekon black will be the easiest to work with. Have an experiment and see how you get on.
